Watch LSU Get Physical With Kentucky’s Anthony Davis, and then Just Tackle Him
If you can’t stop the nation’s leading shot blocker and certain No. 1 pick in the 2012 NBA draft, might as well try to rattle him with cheap shots, right? Here’s a 4-minute video containing a series of jabs, pushes and elbows that LSU threw at Kentucky’s Anthony Davis. At the 2-minute mark, watch Davis get taken down from behind on a breakaway. UK won, 74-50, and Davis finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Wildcats, 21-1, are a buzzer-beater away from being unbeaten.
UK’s the only certain No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. I’m reluctant to lock in Syracuse as a No. 1 right now because of the Fab Melo situation – the Orange haven’t played well without him. In the event that the Orange falter, there isn’t another Big East team that appears worthy of a No. 1 seed, and if that’s the case, I’d go with the best of Kansas-Missouri-Baylor out of the Big 12. Duke and UNC should battle for another No. 1 seed, and Ohio State or Michigan State should snag the 4th.

Big East is pretty weak again this year. This ND-UConn game, like 95% of college games, is basically unwatchable.

That video really wasn’t all that damning. Only the flagrant on the breakaway was truly egregious.

That horse collar was ridiculous.

Huge UConn fan and alum and I even admit they look pathetic. What was Napier thinking on that 3 pt attempt?

Again? They had 11 teams in the tournament last year.

UK has seen this all year long. This video doesn’t show all of it. Guess if you don’t have the talent to match your opponent you resort to this kind of crap. Just sad that this is what college hoops has become. The refs and coaches let it progress to this point.
