He’s a grown man, and doesn’t need to get into a pissing contest. If the kid doesn’t fit in KU’s program, I agree with Duffy’s second point. Keep it brief and benign, and let the kid go.

I completely agree with you on this Ty, but most people in here are just killing the messenger. And that’s you. And I completely agree with them, too.

Really, what’s the problem with Weis coming out and recounting the events accurately? I mean, except him coaching a rival of Michigan.

1. Forced a kid who clearly didn’t want to be there and clearly wasn’t going to work out to get a legal ruling on appeal to get let out of his scholarship.

2. Why add anything beyond the standard, empty wish him well on his future endeavors?

3. Why add that and cast all sorts of aspersions on the kid’s character. Even if it’s true, surely a head coach earning a hefty salary should be above broadsiding a 19-year-old in public.

As well he should have been.
