J-Mac, I’m all confused about sports today. Which sport uses ‘pigskin’ and which is called ‘hoops’. I look forward to your direction on the matter.

Great. Overpriced Chappelle tickets at oversized venues. Thanks a lot rock.

is that kelly pickler eating a pussy on the front page?

Another American Idol reject. Why do I always feel that Taylor Swift is a reject? Oh, that’s right..She’s a crappy singer that can’t hold a tone.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:22 AM
Who in the blue hell is Kellie Pickler?
January 26th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
All of this. Chappelle >>>> Rock
Still wishes he would come back and do his show again. He would’ve killed it with Tiger Woods, Obama, Kanye the past few years.

Meryl Streep could be the co-star of the next Kevin James/Adam Sandler comedy, and she would be nominated for an Academy Award.

January 26th, 2012 at 8:31 AM
Abu Dhabi was fun to watch last night before sacking out.
Tiger’s overhaul is improving still, but fuck man, get a putter in your hand and GO PRACTICE.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:32 AM
What pray tell for then sir? A shitty contract that isn’t expiring at the end of the year? Honestly no team in ‘contention’ needs him that has the pieces to work it. Suns will only take back expiring deals and draft picks for him, because no team is going to give up real talent.

I was totally immersed in Arkansas horrible shooting night and forgot all about it being on last night. flipped it on for a minute this morning and saw that Sergio096 had a hole in one though.

Hangover 2 was an abortion, of course they want to make Hangiver 3: The Grab for Cash.

January 26th, 2012 at 8:39 AM
The little bit I watched (6 swings) looked much better. Not as stuck. He hit 17 GIR so you know the ball’s doing as it’s told. I have it on DVR as well. Wondering if GC will follow another group tonight on the early tees at 1040EST.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:40 AM
I wouldn’t go that far. It was entertaining and funny. Maybe it isn’t as good as the first but It was not an abortion.

whoa…cant wait to watch. im loving tiger’s swing now that foley’s changes are taking place. a lot of the bad shit he was doing w/ haney, the unnecessarily complicated shit, seems to be gone. much more simple, seems like he’s not working it as much either, but granted, it’s a small sample size where he’s actually been playing decent.

Country, the Tylenol PM of music.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
It would probably have to be some type of three team trade. Honestly there isn’t much of a market for him. If Orlando decided to go for it then they could be a viable option but I don’t think the Suns are willing to take back any contracts unless one of their horrible ones is coming off the books. If they could trade him for just a pick and a expiring contract I am sure they would listen.
Still the way they are flawed right now trying to jam a square into a circle they may be better off just riding this out getting a good pick and letting his deal expire.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:49 AM

some new crappy NBC show about Broadway musicals is going to have McPhever in it. And she looks fabulous in the promos. Me no watchy watchy though.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:55 AM
Well, they’d get a 45 game tryout of Felton to see if he’s worth re-signing. Babbitt is super cheap. He’s just there to make the math work. Probably only getting a conditional first round pick for Nash, at this point.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
Except when he plays Reggie Warrington, of course.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:56 AM

Have people seen this dunk? Bullshit that he got T’d up for his reaction, which then got him tossed from the game.
January 26th, 2012 at 8:58 AM
Hey, was someone talking about Catherine McPhee’s jugs?
January 26th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
I watched Tiger’s group tee off and lasted for the first 9 before sacking out. He looked good other than putting. If he could make a putt he could have shot 65.
It was cool to wake up at 7 and catch the end of the Nadal win and catch Westwood walking up 17.

January 26th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
He got ejected because it was his 2nd techincal. He got the first for doing the exact same thing on the opening play of the game. One would think after that he would just turn up the court and play defense after scoring, but I guess he thought flexing was more important.
January 26th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
Yeah but that’s a poodle. That belongs to your in-laws. If you don’t want to Baxter that thing off a bridge you’re not a true American.
But that guy who kicked his kitten should be held down and kicked in the face repeatedly while others signal field goal. Shit, Cundiff could use the practice. Bring him in for a session.

January 26th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
I understand how the rules of basketball work. I’m saying was a weak call. He wasn’t in anyone’s face and was making his way back down the court.
January 26th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
My problem with that is worse shit gets said on probably every play of every college football game, but those guys rarely even get flagged, let alone ejected.
Make the punishment fit the crime.
January 26th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
Never heard that broad sing anything but the stretch at Wrigley. Dumber than a bag of hammers when she stayed and talked for the bottom half of the inning.

Don’t agree on the OSU kid’s tech either. He looked at the other guy. No words exchanged, just a brief stare down. This isn’t the NFL. Let the kid enjoy a fantastic athletic play. The adrenaline rush after something like that has to be fierce. What is he supposed to do? Apologize and then walk up the floor? Weak call

January 26th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
I’m not arguing with that point, but after he dunked he mean mugged Pressey. After getting a tech on the opening score of the game he should have just turned around and ran down the court. Yell out to the crowd on your way back if you want. It was a weak call, but he gave the ref an excuse to T him up.
January 26th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
Wow. What’s the over/under on that ticket price? $130?
January 26th, 2012 at 9:16 AM

January 26th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
Vincent, you bet I watch it, and usually enjoy it. Which ones did you enjoy the most?
The Vesta Williams one was cool, funny, but sad since she died so young. After she lost the weight, she was gorgeous. And, she could sing like an angel.
I also enjoyed the ones on the Spinners (my favorite group in the 70) and Atlantic Starr (huge talents, but pitiful in managing personnel).
The only ones I haven’t watched yet were Minnie Riperton and Freddie Jackson.
January 26th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
I thought it was good too. you knew the premise from the 1st one, so you knew what to expect with the 2nd. still had some good laffs though.

I had no problem with the guy being gay. I think that was obvious. However, the hipster thing has completely ruined the Honey Badger. I can’t watch it ever again.

Vincent, also my former-mother-in-law dated Bobby Womack briefly in the 60s, prior to her marriage. My son and I watched the episode of Unsung featuring Womack, and was fascinated by it all.

Cowboy, I was always blown away that Nicks sounded so rough and gravelly, but the band sold so many records. Almost as if people liked them despite that quality in the singer. No tellin’ for taste, I guess.

That’s a good lunch spot that’ll cost you $10-$15. Batista’s Hole in the Wall is a pretty good Italian place that’s near the Flamingo (not on the strip, per se) It’s really affordable and pretty good, too. It’s classic, old school Italian. Avoid MESA (in Caesars) as it sucks balls and is way over priced.

And always check the buffet deals to see if there are any passes available that cover a bunch of them, can usually get 48 hour access to a bunch of them for the less than the cost of going twice.

I’ve been to Delmonico (in the Venetian) a couple of times and loved it.

I remember it being good, though I may or may not have been drunk. So I rescind my suggestion.

I had it for lunch, so I didn’t get a dinner plate, but it was relatively bland and way overpriced. Bold flavors my ass, Flay.

yeah, check out best buy, amazon and try Crutchfield.com, too.
i’d really love to get a nice stereo system with a turntable, but I only have a few great vinyl’s and i can’t justify the cost… yet.

I had dinner at Fix in the Bellagio the last time I was out there, even though I didn’t feel well after my long night of drinking, it was still really solid and had some really good steaks.

Burger Bar in the Mandalay Shops is fantastic. Todd English Urban PUB is quite good too.

re: Vegas eats
Emeril’s restuarant is really good at MGM. Also expensive. The Paris dinner buffet is a good spot for inexpensive eats. I enjoy Bally’s breakfast simply because the line for the omelet chef usually isn’t that long.
Don’t go to the In ‘n’ Out Burger in Vegas. It fucking sucks.

Apparently, CJ, we shouldn’t find that article offensive. At least that’s what the majority of male commenters here last night informed me.

The birthers are amazing…just absolutely amazing. I’m sure their disdain has nothing to do with race, though.

Compared to the one’s in SoCal, yeah it sucks, but when you’re craving it for four plus years, then it’s fine.

Can I interest you in a photo gallery that features Billy Baldwin, Franco Harris, and Ki-Jana Carter?
WTF is Billy Baldwin doing there?
January 26th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
Yeah, plain and simple: Best groups of restaurants are at Mandalay Bay, Planet Hollywood (Earl’s!) and The Venetian food court. Basically the edges and the middle of the strip. My favorite restaurants are Lavo and Le Cirque.

I used to have vinyl LPs back in the 80s. Given their cost, I wouldn’t replace all of them, but some of the old school stuff just sounds more natural coming out of vinyl and not digital.

They just opened a bunch of these in Dallas, I was born and raised in NJ, moved here a few years back so I have been a White Castle guy my whole life. In n Out is ok, burgers are great but everything else is shit to me
