Here’s an Epic Own Goal From Women’s Olympic Qualification

Brain farts are the damnedest things. Here’s the Costa Rican goalkeeper Julieth Arias receiving a back pass tamer than a playoff game at New Yankee Stadium and just…missing it. Canada ended up winning 5-1. In some respects, this was the most exciting match of the CONCACAF group. It was the only one where both teams managed to score a goal. For those curious, the U.S. beat the Dominican Republic 14-0, Guatemala 13-0 and Mexico 4-0 in the group. They play Costa Rica in the semifinals Friday night at 8.
