Jay Cutler’s season-ending thumb injury in November gave the Bears’ quarterback plenty of time to stay at home and frolic about Chicago with his fiancee, Kristin Cavallari. Now, she’s pregnant.

“We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together,” they tell PEOPLE exclusively. “It’s an amazing time in our life and we can’t wait to meet the new addition to our growing family.”

Growing family? It’s hard to believe that we’ve known Kristin since she was just 17-years-old, when she broke out as a star on MTV’s Laguna Beach (and dated then-USC QB Matt Leinart). She’s grown up right in front of our eyes! Cavallari’s inspirational quotes didn’t end there.

“Sometimes, in order for things to get better, they have to end – even if it’s momentarily.”

Just like the Bears’ season, right!? Now we just have to wait a few months and find out if the kid is born with Bama bangs.
