South Carolina Teenagers Claim They Were Beaten Up For Tebowing
Raise your hand if you saw this coming.
The two teenage fans were punched and kicked — one to the point of vomiting — as they walked outside after the game, which ended in a 20-point rout by Wando. Neither required hospitalization.
A mother of one victim thinks West Ashley students felt taunted when Wando fans participated in the act of “Tebowing,” in which the participant mimics the Denver Broncos quarterback by dropping to a knee and placing a wrist to the chin. A 17-year-old Wando fan told the police that as he and a friend left the gym and began walking through a breezeway, those West Ashley fans jumped them.
The inevitable next step: Tebow reaches out to the kids who were beaten – perhaps he’ll make an appearance in South Carolina next month, when his season is over? – and everyone cheers Tebow (again) for being such a nice guy. Well, everyone except the haters on the internet, who grumble about how much media coverage Tebow’s trip to South Carolina generates. [Post & Courier via Joe Wright]

I feel terrible for the kids, but I’m sure Tebow’s publicist will keep us updated on whether he does anything for them.

You bought them Blu Ray players, sir. They were nice.

Fun Fact: Every NFL player meets with sick/dying children on game days but only Tebow has a publicist.

Hate on his football play but try not to hate on him just because his charity work is released by a publicist. What is the alternative? Maybe he keeps it quiet or maybe he doesn’t do anything at all.
