Grady Sizemore Engaged to Former Playboy Playmate Brittany Binger
All, Athletes and Celebrities, Baseball, Poon January 11th. 2012, 10:14am

Grady Sizemore, the once-great outfielder of the Cleveland Indians, got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Playboy Playmate (June 2007) Brittany Binger over the holidays. They make a great couple. Binger is a sports fan, and her future husband is a baseball player who made $7.6 million in 2011. Their babies will be photogenic and tall (he’s 6-2, she’s 5-7).
What else is there to say? Sizemore did well, as athletes tend to do. I enjoyed the delicate piano music in this Binger video.

1. he should have played football.
2. he was never a great major leaguer.
3. nice pull.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
no dong linkage? color me surprised.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:21 AM
His body has broken down a lot and he made $20MM by the age of 29.
Much better than trying to be a NFL skill player, imho.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
Well that’s just silly.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
eh, they’re kids are going to be ugly and always injured
January 11th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
Big year for Grady this season. I can feel it!
/said past 4 years..
January 11th, 2012 at 10:23 AM
False.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:24 AM
Hi everyone from Google!
January 11th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
You guys have a loose interpretation of the word “great”.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
Thanks for those thumbnail pictures that don’t get any bigger when you click on them. Dick.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:28 AM
This post makes me think of the si issue with Grady on the cover injuries killed the kids career.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:28 AM
He was a great player for 3 years. 2006-2008. It’s over now, obviously. But for three years he was one of the best players in baseball.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:29 AM
Not to be stat guy, but a 5.7 WAR is pretty great.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:31 AM
4 years, dork. 2005-2008.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:32 AM
Yeah, include 2005 too – averaged 6.85 fWAR those four seasons. Great, but short, run.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:33 AM
Grady Sizemore has been the centerpiece of many fantasy trade fleecings I have pulled on folks the last couple years. Think that well may have run dry now though.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:33 AM
Fuck. I hate injuries. Pronk and Grady. Damn you!
January 11th, 2012 at 10:35 AM
Yeah, you’re right. Dude is 30 this year. Sometimes forget all that came before what should have been his prime.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:35 AM
Binger? I hardly know her.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:39 AM
The gay dude?
January 11th, 2012 at 10:41 AM
damn you.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:42 AM
If his body could take it in baseball, he def couldn’t have done it in football. Combine the $25mil career earnings, qualifying for max pension and the fact that he’ll be able to walk past 50: he made the right decision.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:42 AM
They make a great couple.

Eventually people will realize players go the pro football route only after exhausting better options like MLB or NBA.

mlb – 81 road games

i have no idea how NFL players have the energy or time to get a ton of pussy…figure they’d be completely spent after practices and/or too sore to do anything.
guess when you can walk into a bar and have vag thrown at you without even trying, it saves a ton of time compared to ugly, normal people.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:56 AM
Gawdammit Ark, I was coming here just to post that.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:57 AM
he was very, very good for a few years, not great.
ha! he was clearly very, very, VERY good, which makes him great. Don’t penalize the bro for playing under Eric Wedge.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:57 AM
Unless you limit great to no more than 3 guys at any point in time, then you need to just stop.
January 11th, 2012 at 10:57 AM
If the Tribe could get a 1B who could hit, that line up would be awesome.

January 11th, 2012 at 11:01 AM
lotta nfl guys are night owls. home after practice, sleep, then back up late for film at another guys house then they head out. few hours sleep, then in for therapy/weights/film.
Theres a reason they are all falling asleep in film.

what are you, a baby? It’s because they spend late nights out. It has nothing to do with sitting idle in a darkened room doing something monotonous.

aay 60-65 nfl guys on a team w/ rookies and IR, how many you think are out late the night before on average weekday?

damn, you could project a movie on there.

Where is ATL these days?
January 11th, 2012 at 11:09 AM
id say very, very few of the practice squad guys and none of the all-pros.
best bet are rookies and 3rd/4th year players that have seen some success but don’t have the work ethic or team leaders to keep it up.

If you think about the differences in lifestyle, and the incredible damage it does to your body and life expectancy, it’s amazing that NFLers get paid about the same as other sports, and some get paid significantly less (non-guaranteed contracts/PS spots) than MLB/NBA
January 11th, 2012 at 11:15 AM

remember when D’Brickashaw got caught in that car Braylon Edwards was driving while drunk last year (with also the DE from tOSU whose name escapes me, that sucks minus steroids). Anyway, guys like that fall into habits like that, they’re not all pro for long. And then their coach quits them and they get a hardass who likes to keep the room dim.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:16 AM
gholston. That’s the other guy in the car.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:17 AM
gholston sucked with steroids too…he just got lucky that jake long can’t move sideways and parlayed that into a huge bonus.

Completely agree, but you forgot NHL players. Those guys take some serious pounding as well. I know the revenue stream for the NHL is lowest among the 4 sports, but shit, what some of these guys do not get paid enough.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:20 AM
They can thank their shitty union.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:21 AM
I’d be interested to know which league pays the most cumulatively. the NFL has 60-some active players on a roster and eleventy-some practice squad and other players they’re paying too. beisbol has, what, 30 players total? and the NBA can’t be paying more than 15 guys per team, right?
January 11th, 2012 at 11:22 AM
gotta throw in european soccer too…some ridiculous contracts over there.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:24 AM
I’m not talking about poor people sports.

January 11th, 2012 at 11:25 AM

You’d have to include farm teams there, right? Because they pay a lot of people. And there’s 40 guys on the team in September, so it has to be at least 40.
And NFL is 62 guys, but 80 in training camps (maybe 90 now), and all those guys get paid. PLus, they probably pay a few more off the street every year.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:25 AM
50% vs. 57% revenue isn’t going to make them leap from ‘under’ to ‘over’ paid compared to MLB/NBA. I imagine that ticket prices/number of games have a lot to do with it.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:25 AM
Are you including minor leaguers and D-leaguers as well? Might be an interesting project. Email it to me by end of day tomorrow.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:26 AM
They pay Major League salaries to the full 40-man all year.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:27 AM
NHL teams can have a maximum of 50 contracts (including 23 man active roster). Salary cap, which only includes players on active roster, IR and buyouts is $64.3M. But teams can exceed the cap in real dollars.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:27 AM
Practice squad players get like $50-60K a year, right? (and of course most aren’t on the PS all year, at least not with the Patriots). Also, how much to camp invitees get paid if they are cut before the start of the season? I imagine its relatively nothing.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:28 AM
my gut inclination would be not to include farm teams. but that’s mostly because I don’t know how that relationship works and I’m not interested enough to figure out how much revenue a farm team generates on its own to cover its costs to the major league team.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:29 AM
Does anyone know how MiLB salaries work? I was always under the impression it’s about the same for everyone ($1000-$3000 per month, then more in AAA), but that it’s the signing bonuses that make the difference.
It would make sense, if the MLB team pays the bonuses, but the MiLB (at least the ones not owned by parent team) have to pay the salaries, which I thought is the case.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:32 AM
MLB and NBA get guaranteed contracts. NFL doesn’t. That’s a big difference. Pujols can break his testicles tomorrow and he’s still getting all $240 million.
January 11th, 2012 at 11:35 AM
they’re prolly pretty small though from all the juicing so he may not even notince.
