cursive will no longer be taught in Indiana public schools …
i don’t remember how to write in cursive.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:10 AM
Well, the one positive is that the Jordan Jefferson era is over. You know, I want so badly to blame the offensive coaches and the game plan. But they weren’t the ones fumbling the snap. They weren’t the ones sprinting out of bounds on the run-pass option. And they weren’t underhanding the ball to their blockers.
Now they could have taken that piece of shit out the game, but that’s another story.
/and I’m done on this topic
January 10th, 2012 at 8:12 AM
Cleveland, are you ready for Erin Andrews? …
YES!
January 10th, 2012 at 8:13 AM
a bad college football season? and the only thing that was awful last night was Miles not giving Lee a shot in the second half.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:15 AM
WHOA
January 10th, 2012 at 8:17 AM
please tell me that story because I don’t understand why they didn’t.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:17 AM
Early front runner for best headline of the year, so far.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:17 AM
cursive will no longer be taught in Indiana public schools
Totally archaic and inefficient method of communication. Most cursive is unreadable.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:19 AM
My favorite part was when jefferson would take two backwards steps before he pitched that sprint option, giving the guy who was trying to hit him a chance to hit the running back instead, and for a nice loss.
also watching Mathieu fet picked on, first in coverage, then get taken out of plays by wide receivers blocking him.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:20 AM
He will now score no more than 5 points the next three games.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:21 AM
Nobody knows. He nearly flunked out of school in December and supposedly his head has been up his ass for that and other reasons–so much that Les was never going to let him see the field again.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
Michael Jordan’s son, Jeff, left the UCF basketball program over the weekend.
Just try to keep dads name in the press. Personal reasons? No you suck.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
his lack of execution on the option pitch was astounding.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:24 AM
Thought they should have taken him out too then the graphic came on the screen showing Lee’s stats vs bama
January 10th, 2012 at 8:25 AM
that makes a lot more sense then than just Miles sticking with Jefferson out of principle.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:25 AM
5 of those INTs came when he was a freshmen thrown to the wolves when Ryan Perrilloux got kicked off the team.
And they still took Alabama to OT in that game.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:25 AM
why was the college football season bad?
January 10th, 2012 at 8:25 AM
It was like they just showed him how to do it during warm ups
January 10th, 2012 at 8:27 AM
Didn’t know that…then it really doesnt make sense to at least try Lee in that game. Certaintly couldn’t have done any worse
January 10th, 2012 at 8:27 AM
I missed that graphic, but I can’t imagine Lee’s stats against Bammer were so bad that Jefferson’s current performance was any better at any point last night.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:28 AM
I agree the college football season lacked luster.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
my wife commented that it looked like I was out there.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:30 AM
It ended with Nick Saban holding a trophy.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:30 AM
My signature was the last thing I ever wrote in cursive. Of course even that morphed into something illegible.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:31 AM
he didn’t look THAT slow.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:31 AM
oh…well, I can go along with that then.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:34 AM
I only remember how to do the first four letters of my name then their is a lot of back and forth swoops. Not that I don’t know how to sign the rest but I get lazy.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:34 AM
maybe not, but he definitely looked as cared of being hit as I would have been had I been out there trying to run the option.
/bobbles snap
//runs left
///sees 250+ lb giant human bearing down one me…but still 5 yards away
////pitches to back that’s half a yard away
January 10th, 2012 at 8:34 AM
Thank goodness I live in an area where animals are afraid of humans
January 10th, 2012 at 8:36 AM
The thing I’ve been thinking about most from last night was how could the guy kicking 5 field goals in 60 seconds not get all 5 off? I can understand not being able to make the FG, but not getting all 5 off is unacceptable.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:36 AM
I was sad to see a lot of people rooting for alabama last night. Do you people forget who their head coach is?
January 10th, 2012 at 8:36 AM
That game was horrible, worst title game I have seen. But at least rg3 won the heisman, so it wasn’t all bad.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
If Lee was in the dog house why not give Mettenberger a chance to hit something downfield? It was very unlikely against that D but he has a cannon. Maybe he gets lucky.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
Love that lion video. You can almost see the thoughts running through his head. Something about that kid was bothering him greatly.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
You can’t argue that LSU and Alabama were not the two best teams throughout the regular season. Just so happened LSU had a terrible game. It happens. Unfortuante that it happened at this stage.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:38 AM
That leopard photo is scary. I am currently letting a feral cat wait to,die in a cage on my porch, but if I tried to do it with a stick, it would hurt me
January 10th, 2012 at 8:38 AM
Then year wasn’t all bad.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:39 AM
I was sad to see a lot of people rooting for alabama last night. Do you people forget who their head coach is?
saban is god.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:39 AM
lots of typos by me this morning. I think I’ll try to scramble with the next comment myself but pitch it straight into the chest of an opposing linebacker.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:39 AM
Jordan Jefferson picked a fine game to remember that he sucked balls last night.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:39 AM
Need some coffee.
Maybe last night will push us closer to a plus one or playoff.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:40 AM
i just did not understand the refusal to try something down field. it was hysterical when Musberger tried to get excited about LSU crossing the 50 in the 4th
January 10th, 2012 at 8:40 AM
a photo that could haunt your dreams
I didn’t click but I presume it’s like in Mel Gibson’s Apocolypto where that jaguar attacks that warrior and crushes his skull.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:40 AM
Former McDonald’s All-American Khem Birch is transferring from Pittsburgh to UNLV.
From what I understand, his reasoning for leaving Pitt was to be closer to his family (Quebec). You do the math.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:40 AM
So Gunner Kiel is starting for LSU by the start of October?
January 10th, 2012 at 8:41 AM
it shouldn’t. how that game looked should not have any bearing on that decision.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
Kirby Smart seems to know how to tame a cat.
/veal your waitress
January 10th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
Sure Feinstein and Costas are fine, but where’s the love for Tom Rinaldi?! Sure gonna miss those hard-hitting interviews.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
best title game I’ve seen
*raises the roof*
January 10th, 2012 at 8:44 AM
Saban is a souless creature
January 10th, 2012 at 8:44 AM
best title game I’ve seen
*raises the roof*
Yep, this was much better than USC\Texas
January 10th, 2012 at 8:45 AM
With that logic then last years butler uconn shitfest should push us closer to some kind of BCS format for college basketball
January 10th, 2012 at 8:46 AM
So you’re more of a drop back passer then?
January 10th, 2012 at 8:46 AM
I had USC that night, so yeah, it stunk.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
Saban is lucky he caught Garrett Gilbert and Jordan Jefferson in the last two title games.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
a photo that could haunt your dreams
okay I couldnt resist. Stunning in the time capture of the moment. I didn’t have the will to read it – he die?
January 10th, 2012 at 8:48 AM
Steve Stricka!
January 10th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
I hope the ratings for last night’s abortion of a football game are terrible. Fuck the rematch, fuck the AP for falling victim to recency bias and not giving LSU a split, and fuck the BCS for forcing this farce upon us.
/holy shit, where’s the Tylenol?
January 10th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
He looks like a zombie in the last picture
January 10th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
Soooo….. anyone else excited for Galen Rupp’s marathon debut at the Olympic Trials this weekend?
No. Someone else did, but he was okay.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
the kobalt cordless power drill with attached suppressor and 1/128″ peephole camera attachment is an excellent stocking stuffer.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
Extremely undermentioned point.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:51 AM
MY MAN!!!
January 10th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
As TBL said, she barely flinched, I would have probably shit my pants.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
That would have been more of a farce than anything you are complaining about. In no way did lsu deserve any split title
January 10th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
golf channel picked a great time to show prime time final round golf last night
I saw two drives from Jefferson and turned the MNC off
January 10th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
The Knicks have given scouts awful seats at Madison Square Garden.
Weak sauce. Advance scouts are given unused media spots in lots of places. Teams will continue to screw over the Knicks scouts and then just scout the Knicks in other cities. That whole front office is terrible.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:54 AM
urinal mint…what do you think of martin laird?
January 10th, 2012 at 8:54 AM
Steve Stricka!
Laird finished 2 back.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
I can’t wait for our future generations to sign their name in wobbly block letters.
we’re heading towards a generation of ralph wiggums.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
Big hitter, the laird. A bit dopey looking. He’ll make a lot of money but never a lot of noise on tour.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
Not a fan of that Meghan Mccain link. I can’t see her huge rack.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:57 AM
I followed Laird a few holes at Firestone. His wife’s body is a 10, and that’s on a scale of tour wags.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
I followed Laird a few holes at Firestone. His wife’s body is a 10, and that’s on a scale of tour wags.
seen here and here.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
Missed the live comments section last night, but I can only assume that its too late to talk shit about Musburger?
Honey Badger + Australian Kicker = Dead Horse
That guy is as insufferable as they come. He is like the uncool parent who learns a cool expression that went out of style months ago and still says it to his children’s friends and looks for high fives. If I remember correctly, didn’t he say something to the effect of “I would call a more exciting game if there were TD’s to talk about”
January 10th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
Much more efficient way to write.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
LSU had better wins, beat Alabama in Alabama, and finished with the same record. Sorry I don’t put much stock in what happens in a game played six weeks after the real season ends. Sort of begging for outlier classification there.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
DeWalt or GTFO
January 10th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
I’d go the other way w/ Laird. A few wins but they’ll be nice tourneys. Gone from 268-108-47-33 in world ranking last few years. A Scot, moved Stateside.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:01 AM
Yep. Though isn’t that what a playoff does?
January 10th, 2012 at 9:01 AM
yea, my thoughts as well…but great scot* that fucker can blast it. im always wary of guys that have a closed clubface at the top and hold it open (even tho trevino kinda did the same thing…)…seems like it’d be succeptible to falling apart under pressure. DJ does the same thing.
*sorry

January 10th, 2012 at 9:03 AM
Actually, LSU had one more win overall (SEC Championship).
January 10th, 2012 at 9:04 AM
So I guess getting arrested for a bar fight is cool then.
Bama should have won the first game with ease, and they did win this one that ease. Not that surprising.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:04 AM
i almost felt bad for the lion, in the sense that it knows it could eat every single person in that room if it wasn’t for that damn invisible wall in the way.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
Recently LSU had been falling behind their ooponents and coming back based on the aggressiveness of the defense and their ability to capitalize on the mistakes of the other team combined with good special teams. Bama knew this, likely worked on it tireslessly during their 44 day lay off, and didn’t allow any of that to happen. For a team that shouldn’t have been in the game in the first place, they played a damn inpressive game.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
Outstanding.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
David Lee Roth/Eddie Van Halen look like Zombies now. Anone going to see them this summer?
Tattoo
January 10th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
4 bricked FGs in a 3 point game. Otherwise, more yards and more first downs.
LSU got very lucky in the first game.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
Blue Jackets coach Scott Arniel has been fired.
Mercy killing.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
I would say her body was the best. Luke Donald’s wife prettiest face. For woman that’d you think would blow your mind – Rory Sabbatini’s wife.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
+1 what is up with that goofy grin on her face. Her body is not a 10.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:09 AM
it’s crazy…they’re like the size of a fat schnauzer when they’re 3 weeks old.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
I agree this season sucked, but that’s the best damn defense I’ve ever seen.

The opening band for VH in PGH in March – Kool and the Gang
/not joking.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
Not sure why so many people were so confident about LSU.
Saban > Miles
Bama Defense > LSU
Bama Offense > LSU (though LSU’s is a little more dynamic at times)
The only thing that LSU had a clear advantage in was special teams. It was going to take good to great QB play from LSU for this to be even a good game.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
Yep, as they often tend to do. Wildly talented team (and past teams), but consistently one of the luckiest teams I’ve ever seen. They are loaded with playmakers and make a lot of it happen, but they also rarely will wow you with execution or coaching.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
This makes me a little sad.
/because I am old, you see
January 10th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
WWoS, pretty sure I am going to run that half in Nashville in April, pretty pumped about it.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
David Lee Roth/Eddie Van Halen look like Zombies now. Anone going to see them this summer?
I own every Van Halen album. I saw them tour several times in the Hagar era, at the top of their game. Top 5 band of mine. I will in all liklihood make no effort to go unless a buddy calls me w/ tix. No Micheal Anthony. Dave’s not the greatest live. Eddie’s a wreck. Ugh. Unless the new material is mindblowing which I’ve heard it is not.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
Tix for the February show at the Palace go on sale here Saturday. I haven’t seen them since the 5150 tour, so I’m planning on going. Now only if I could find that jean jacket with the “VH” on the back…. Mommmm!!!….
January 10th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
False. Enjoyable beyond belief.
[Gravatar image]
I’m seeing them, but on March 5, so don’t have to wait for the summer.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
i’ll see EVH.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
I’ve been watching the Sixers. Rose has been pretty good, IMO.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Scripty, did you see them on the 2007 tour?
January 10th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
What the over/under on number of dates before EVH loses his mind over Dave’s antics?
January 10th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
I agree though it would have been nice to see them against a top offensive team.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
That new song-Tattoo is not very good but it’s classic Eddie on guitar. I will wait for free tix for this show.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
I agree. He blows Todd McCullough and Donyell Marshall out of the water.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
Her body is not a 10.
She was wearing athletic apparel the day I saw her, completely fit, perfect. Her face is not a 10, her smile is definitely toothy. That’s why I said her body is a 10, not “She’s a 10″. That picture doesnt do justice. Trust me. I would never mislead anybody on a Tour WAG.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
The fact that Mettenberger couldn’t get any burn this season is odd. Didn’t he play earlier in the year?
January 10th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
I see it’s on a friday……
/books ticket
January 10th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
I don’t care about the ratings, but if you enjoyed watching that game last night, your “I LOVE THE SEC” underoos were on too tight.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
I’ve written in cursive since whenever I learned it in grade school. Far more efficient than writing whatever you call non-cursive.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
They made it thru the 07/08 tour incident-free.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
Put that lion on a diet, dye its mane black, scar its face and give it the voice of Jeremy Irons and that little girl is running for her life.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
That’s exciting… I’ll be there in some regard, watching or running to get a few miles in. It’s really fun, with great crowds the whole way, and it gets your adrenaline really going.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
And…that slam on the game aside, AJ McCarron played a pretty good ballgame, I thought. Stayed within himself and took what he was given.
The LSU offense on the other hand….complete dumpster fire.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
at this point they are probably getting paid enough he won’t really give a shit.
although it only took 2 shows for scott weiland to wear out his welcome when STP reunited a couple years ago, so who knows.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
What the over/under on number of dates before EVH loses his mind over Dave’s antics?
NO BROWN M&M’S DAMNIT!
January 10th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Bama would have fucked OKST’s world up. That defense is stupid good. They gave up 9 fucking TDs all year. NINE!!!
January 10th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Enjoy the game last night? Sixers covered for me, that was nice.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Very good defense, but the ineptitude of LSU’s offense made it look iconic.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
What sucks is that even if Bama beat LSU in the first match we still would have had that shitty game last night.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
Scripty, did you see them on the 2007 tour?
No. I’ve seen them plenty and the prior tour Eddie was off his game. I know that’s a bit harsh but you go expecting so see one of the world’s greatest and he’s just all addled on something, just playing hyper fast to hide his decline or apathy. I heard Dave was pretty good for what you’d expect out of a geriatric DLR.
Back in the day, no band brought in more tail than VH.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
This, sir, is absurd.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:20 AM
Those little bubble screens and the option.
That seemed to be LSU’s offensive game plan. I wasn’t impressed.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
I don’t think OK St would have done much. I think Stanford is the one team that might have been able to hold it’s own on both sides of the ball (they’re pretty stout up the middle against the run).
January 10th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
So, vis a vis a Plus One…I was kind of surprised to find out last night that Mike Slive is still going to push for the Roy Kramer version of a Plus One, as opposed to a true semi-final/final. And by the Roy Kramer version, I mean this: all the bowl games are played as is, and then 2 teams are picked afterwards (with the caveat a bowl game loser can’t be picked). I consider that trashy, and certainly open for even more controversy.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
Stop this crap. The BCS title is a one off. The regular season is designed to pick the two best teams and then the winner takes all. Don’t be like Bama and start claiming shit that you don’t deserve. As many have stated, LSU was lucky in the first game as Bama outplayed them. The best team in the nation won the title this year, plain and simple.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
I’m conflicted about this. While I agree with everything people have said about it, and I only write about half my letters in cursive, there’s still something that bugs me about it not being taught.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
+1 synthesizer
January 10th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
They weren’t that great all year, they just typically could overpower the other team’s defense and wear them down. That doesn’t work with Bama. Especially when Bama isn’t giving up any big plays to their defense and special teams playmakers.
Again, Bama was just a bad matchup for them and they were beyond lucky to win the first matchup.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
that’s very true.
based on my wife’s recent experience with school administrators, though, i’ve got serious doubts about educating our youth.
teachers to superintendent: more kids have been struggling with constructing complete sentences with this new push to integrate tablets into the learning environment.
superintendent: Ok, hm. I see. Well, I’ve been looking into that and it turns out there this app on the tablet they can use that would allow them to put all the words they want to use and it will make sentences for them!
teachers: umm.
superintendent: pretty neat, huh?
January 10th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
So you are saying DLR is a top?
January 10th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
Maybe it’ll happen again this year. Never know with Eddie
January 10th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
I wouldn’t call it trashy, but I don’t like it, either. I get why he’d want that, though, as it would add a lot of meaning to several bowl games.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
He was awesome, and so was EVH…but, to be fair, I saw them on what was only the 3rd show of the tour, so they hadn’t had time to get road-weary yet.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
My whole porch smells like wildcat piss now.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
Bama would embarrass Stanford. Stanford plays physical football for the West Coast, but they’d get a dose of reality against Bama. I think Ok State would be a more interesting matchup, just because they are so vertical and don’t rely on the run very much.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
DLR needs the paycheck I think so he’ll probably stay in line a bit. Also, Eddie sounds like he’s on something. Hagar said last tour Eddie pretty much went locker room to stage, rarely ever hung out backstage, was rude to VIP’s etc.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
Oh, that’s going to go over well.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
when it becomes acceptable to apostrophize plurals (eg: pic’s) I am going on a shooting rampage.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
LSU averaged 44.6 points per game against every team not named Alabama. Bama held them to 4.5 points per game. That’s fucking retarded.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
It wouldn’t be a big deal this year, as we’d get Bama/Ok St…but imagine if Oregon had not lost to USC, and all else was same. Then you’d have a major, major OK St/Oregon debate.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
Four of those were to non-SEC schools, including two to Georgia Southern of the FCS.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
Yep. Hard to argue with that, especially considering LSU’s schedule was incredibly difficult.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
The trouble with all that is that you can’t have bama and anybody else. You have to take LSU and somebody else.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
I am rare in that I like Hagar and DLR equally. I think the best of DLR is better than the best of Hagar, but I feel the band was better w/ Hagar on their whole albums and sounded better live. I don’t want to get hooked into the classic DLR/Sammy arguement with anybody. DLR fans refuse to admit his shortcomings live, etc.
I think this tour depends on Eddie being clean, or reasonably sober. The last tour there were tons of videos on youtube of Eddie mumbling incoherently, spacing out, etc.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
Look at New England, sitting all clean and pretty.

January 10th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
What collapse? We got Aaron Cook, Carlos Silva, and Brandon Duckworth ! Everything’s coming up Boston!
January 10th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Of course, but such is life. Bama is a war machine under Saban, and until they clamp down on oversigning, he’s going to recruit like gangbusters every year. They offer more than 150 kids a year compared to UGA only sending out about 60-70 offers. Part of me wishes UGA would cross over to the darkside, but that shit won’t happen as long as McGarrity and Richt are there.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
Yes, everyone is saying Alabama 21, LSU 0 was an awful end to a bad college football season.
Define everyone
January 10th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
Maybe, but after graduation all of you will be hanging around watching the HS team practice, talking about the glory days, while we’ll have gotten out of town.

Seconded. One of my biggest pet peeves is bad grammar, and that’s the reason I check and correct both my sons’ homework to make sure they spell properly and use correct grammar. Never too early to learn the language properly.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
You left a few extra words in there
/sorry
January 10th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
It’s not so much about offers, but being Bama. Saban is a great college coach, but I refuse to believe they get their pick of almost every recruit legitimately. They have too much of a history of shady recruiting for it to suddenly not be the case. But hey, it’s working so whatever. Just wake me up whenever Dooley gets fired so I can start enjoying football again.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
your face is stupid.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
I’m not nearly as bothered by bad grammar if it’s a careless error. Sometimes it’s tough to plan your sentences out to make sure everything fits together. But when it’s clear that the person just doesn’t know any better, it makes me angry at that person, his school, his parents… everyone.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
Nothing to apologize for. The city is a shithole. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Although, they are trying to rebuild the downtown and turn it into a college town. Good luck.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
i can forgive ignorance, i can’t forgive laziness.
if you don’t care enough about what you want to say to express it clearly, why should someone else care about what you want to say at all?
January 10th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
They have so many good recruiters on their staff, though. Sunseri and Smart are two of the best in the game, and Saban is a prime closer. Add that in to them being damn good coaches, and you get what we saw last night. If AJ McCarron pans out (he looked pretty good last night with average-at-best WRs) Bama is going to be nasty in 2013 (AJs senior year). They are going to lose a fuck ton of talent off of this year’s defense (9 starters most likely) so I’d expect 2012 to look more like 2010 in terms of some losses (2 or 3, tops). Lacey is a beast at RB and they have Dee Hart, too. With Jones and Fluker staying and McCarron getting more experience, they could have a pretty stout offense next year.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
oh no. you too? I was listening to Knoxville sports radio over the inet last week and there was a lot of hysteria.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
Oh yeah, no doubt. They’ll be ridiculous as long as Saban is there. Don’t forget they have TJ Yeldon coming in this year too, who looks to be a monster at RB. They’re ridiculous. They get everyone.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
I believe that Tattoo song goes way back to the origianl DLR days. They dusted it off and re-recorded it.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
The two that get me are when people are trying to show how smart they are and you “and I” instead of “and me” as an object pronoun.
“It’s a picture of Spencer and I” or even worse “It’s a picture of Spencer and myself”.
My guess is that less than 5% of the English-speaking population has a clue how to use the word ‘myself’ correctly.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
Yeah I’m afraid I’ve checked out. I don’t think he has any idea what he is doing. Our talent level isn’t as bad as what he is putting out on the field (Don’t remind me of the UK game). Throw in the stuff that has happened this offseason and the never ending circus he turns everything into (our current DC search) and I don’t see the guy being around much longer. He just isn’t the guy.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Tenn should have the best duo of WRs next year (assuming Hunter is healthy) and Bray can sling it. They drop Arkansas and LSU from the slate as well. If you look at their 2012 slate, they have 5 gimme wins, meaning they need to get three from NC State, Mizzou, UF, UGA, Alabama, Vandy and South Carolina. I think 8-4 is a good possibility.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Yes, it’s really great that she’s being encouraged to taunt a trapped lion and she didn’t flinch when he tried to attack her.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
He was smart enough not to recruit his crappy son to play QB for Bama.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
What’s so sad (from a Tenn perspective) is that this was obvious to so many people when he was hired.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
This bugs me as well.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
yourself and Spencer should just get a room already.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
Hey, it makes perfect sense, but I bet you he fucks it up. The locker room is apparently a complete circus under his regime thus far. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of our playmakers not be on the team next year (a la Janzen Jackson this year). I don’t rule anything out anymore. There is very rarely good news from our football team since he’s been here. I like the guy and he’s a great interview, but I have no confidence in his coaching ability whatsoever.

Can’t wait to let off some steam at my review in an hour…
January 10th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
Nah we knew it too, but all things considered, it was the only option out there. Kiffin left a week before signing day, and no one was taking the vacancy. It is what it is.
January 10th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
I can assure you that then new stuff should not be affecting your decision as to whether you are going to see them…

I believe that Tattoo song goes way back to the origianl DLR days. They dusted it off and re-recorded it.
Rolling Stone said that was how a few songs on the album would be. I’m a little confused by the choice of Shanks as a producer. His recent production includes Miley Cyrus, both Simpson sisters, and lots of female acts. They could get anybody to produce the album. I’m afraid this might be telling.

DLR. Legend.
January 10th, 2012 at 10:12 AM
Over the last 5 years, Bama and LSU had oversigned by 25-35 more than the allowed amount. That is a HUGE number, and one that plays directly into the talent level on the field last night.
Both of these teams run off kids (or give them shady medical exemptions) to get more talent every single year. There are about 10 schools that are just completely brazen and don’t even attempt to hide it.
It’s not the only reason, but definitely one where there is a competitive advantage for those that do.
January 10th, 2012 at 10:15 AM
Yes we know.
January 10th, 2012 at 10:23 AM
Is over-signing against NCAA rules? Honest question, I don’t pay attention to the 18 year olds like you sick fucks.

This reminds me of that scene in Billy Madison where he has to write “Rizzuto” in script and doesn’t remember how to construct the “z”s.
