I will always have some respect for Jim Rome because I still remember my dad listening to him when I was like ten and Rome was interviewing Mark Grace and I learned what a “slump-buster” is.

I lost interest in Rome as soon as T-Rodg left. He ran some long lovefest with him after ten years then cans him and never acknowledges him. Go to Yahoo Sports Radio and listen for his Friday Facts with Beckner. The best segment in radio. Also, google Adam Clanton or Rome on a Mobile. This is a real impression, hilarious

Still can’t believe ESPN Radio is trying to rescue their nights by going with two guys that aren’t radio guys. Just boggles my mind. They honesty are just going to continue rolling out the model of doing a tv show and calling it a radio show.

i used to enjoy brian kenny’s show and all night with jason smith. sad that both are gone.

CBS sports network does mountain west and conference USA games, also army and navy, plus other college sports across conferences. They have some weekly shows and also cover other sports like PBR and lax. Say what you will about Rome, I’m glad more sports personalities are willing to say no to ESPN (Bruce Feldman is another cbs sports net guy that jumped the ESPN ship for CBS sports network.

When SAS was originally on ESPN Radio a few years ago, missanelli was the co-host. A lot of the time, Smith was in NY and Mis co-hosted from Philly

CBS sports network used to be something like college sports network.

They do air a lot of low profile games

They also air the Tim Brando radio show, which I neither listen to or watch

Jesus Christ. This post got this huge # of comments? What the hell? I’m not reading through it all because of meetings/self-importance/et al. but I hope I’m not the only one who knows off the top of their head that CBS Sports Network is channel 603 on DirecTV because that would tell me I’m the only person scrambling to find the Navy or San Diego State game on saturdays in the fall

Kornheisers local show (10a eastern)
Tony Bruno on the fanatic out of Philly (noon)
Mike Musenelli (sp) also on the fanatic (2p eastern)
Travis Rodgers on Yahoo sports radio (4p eastern)

Yahoo used to be Sporting News Radio.

Sean Pendergast is no longer on yahoo, Craig Shemon took his spot

He now has a Morning local show on KGOW 1560 in Houston (7am eastern)

Fox sports radio used to be great. It’s a disaster now. Only guy I like is John Fricke and he’s just a fill-in

There are these two local hacks who attempt to talk sports here in Utica/Rome area. Thank goodness for the internet. I’ve tuned into Adam the Bull’s show on your station a few times.
