Louisiana-Lafayette Defeats Western Kentucky With A Sixth Man on the Court
The sixth man award usually goes to the best bench player. Usually, though, that player comes in when someone else sits. At the end of a tie game in overtime at Western Kentucky, Louisiana-Lafayette sent six players onto the court for the final play. You’ll notice the sixth unguarded player standing wide open at the three point line at the lower angle waiting for the ball. Amazingly, the point guard never passes the ball, ends up dribbling around, almost loses it, then drives and hits the game winner.
