There Was a 40-Vehicle Pile Up on a New Orleans Highway

There was a 10-vehicle pileup on Interstate 10 in New Orleans yesterday. The wreck left two people dead, sent 25 people to the hospital and kept traffic in both directions shut down for most of the day. The accident occurred early in the day during heavy fog.

Driving across Lake Pontchartrain when there’s fog can be worse. And night driving is pretty terrifying too. It’s pitch black except for the occasional highway lamp on the Causeway bridge.
