Five Guys is good, about the same as Smashburger, although they are different types of places. Smashburger gives you more options on the fries, but the actual fry itself is better at 5 guys. And having seen what kids do to the boxes of peanuts, stay away from the peanuts.

5 guys fries are good (think fries on the boardwalk) – but they do give you a crap load and as cleet said, you’ll notice a change in your regularity as a result.

A single with toppings plus fries is plenty. Double is overkill.

I’m making my inaugural trip to 5 Guys here in about an hour, any recommendations?

Keep it simple. I actually like it quite a bit (I’ve tried the famous local ones, and they aren’t much better than 5 guys). Just don’t go crazy with all the toppings, and be prepared for a lot of grease.

Also… split fries with someone, or you’ll end up leaving half your food there.
