That’s why I equip my best defensive player with a neck roll and visor in NCAA Football 12.

Maybe they wore neck roll because
they had problem with their neck. Pre-existing condition.

I grew up with these guys…no pre-existing condition..like spence said neckroll = near invincibility and helped them look cool

And has there been more missed tackles than this year? every game I see there is constantly someone looking for the big hit instead using decent form and missing a tackle because they are looking for a highlight or they are just afraid of contact or they just run into the ball carrier.

Lets try that thought again.

The thing about the NFL is that ball carrier is trying to avoid being tackled just as much as the defender is trying to tackle them. There aren’t many opportunities in the madness of an NFL game for a nice form tackle. In most cases its get em down by any means possible knowing that the offensive player is trying to set you up for a misdirection.

The missed tackles might have something to do with better offensive players and rule changes favoring them.

I was too poor to have a neck roll when I played…and it seemed like the guys WHO did have them had more neck problems with them than they did without them
