I take umbrage with TBL implying that being a lawyer makes you smart. As a lawyer, I can say nothing is further from the truth. Lawyers are stupid. This can be seen by their desire to be lawyers in the first place.

Two years ago Bilas was on ESPN screaming about another typically terrible job of seeding by the NCAA tournament committee. He complained particularly about Cornell getting a 12, saying they should have been a 5. He was universally mocked for that comment.

And then Cornell went out and beat the 4 and the 5 in games that were never close, and then gave the #1 team in the country a run in the Sweet 16.

Bilas is a genius.

I disagree about Mike Greenberg. I knew him when he was a defensive tackle at Northwestern. Very knowdgeable. My other vote would go to Stephen A. Smith.

Well, personally, I rank Jay Bilas as one of my 5 most hated members of the media. I think he’s an arrogant prick who constantly shills for his Dukie buddies. He’s very anti-mid major. And he’s comically wrong on many of his cbb observations. In a sentence, fuck Jay Bilas, he gets zero respect from me.

Bob Ley is the most respected voice at ESPN, and I honestly don’t think it’s even remotely close.

This post is as lazy as TBL’s Jets posts. Only it makes me want to punch him in the face less than those posts.

On a different topic, why is it that we don’t have a political party that is fiscally conservative but socially liberal? I know such a party would appeal to most voters under 50. I also think it would appeal to a pretty wide swath of baby boomers. Until the old bible thumping geezers pass on, the Republican party won’t be ripe for taking. And the Democrats will never not love, and think the only answer to every problem is, big government.
