Now middle age white baseball writers are now experts on who was juicing. They can now tell by assuming or looking at a body. The self importance is mind boggling.

I’m sure the people who actually run Cooperstown will be thrilled that the place will be empty the next 20 years as they only elect “clean” players.

Do people really still care about the baseball HOF? To me, reasoning like his reeks of, “Hey look at me!” which then makes people talk about the HOF. Otherwise nobody would care to even care about it or its outdated, haughty self-righteous voters.

Bagwell’s got a point. I don’t think you need to work out and bench press, though. 30# of any kind of food per day will get you bigger

This to me is about the most slippery of slopes. I don’t see how you keep any of them out – even Waterhead Barry, Ragin’ Roger, Sammy the Syringe, Rafael the Roider – all of them with the on-field performance to qualify (sorry McGuire). To do anything else seems completely arbitrary. Sure there are some known users/abusers, but I seriously doubt more than 5% of the actual users have been identified. It sucks, but the era was what it was.
