Taylor University’s Silent Night Tradition Is Amazing
This is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Taylor University, a small liberal arts college in Indiana has an incredibly cool tradition every year on the Friday before finals begin. On “Silent Night” Taylor students pack the gym, but don’t make a noise until the home team scores their 10th point of the game. Students wear increasingly weird outfits and the evening ends with the gym swaying, arm-in-arm, signing Silent Night.
I’ve watched these videos 10 times each and every time I get goosebumps when the crowd goes bananas. It just goes to show you that you don’t need to go to a big school to love your team in an insane manner. This atmosphere is out of control and awesome.

If you’ve ever been to Taylor U, you’d totally get it. Talk about pent up energy.
“Students, faculty and staff are required to sign the “Life Together Covenant” (LTC) upon joining the University.[19] Community members pledge to adhere to certain standards of conduct and refrain from certain behaviors, including social dancing (excepting marriages taking place off of school property and choreographed or folk dance), premarital sex, homosexuality, smoking, and the consumption of alcohol, with the intention of strengthening the community as a whole.”
