Yes, they lever up a company upon purchasing it, and the PM managers try to squeeze as much profit out of it for themselves using the carried interest as payment for sucking all of the money out of the LBO company. In the mean time, they will either cut the pensions or layoff a lot of the workers in said company. After they’ve drawn as much money out of the company as possible, they’ll either try to IPO it (with huge amounts of debt and then cash out using a one-time tax free capital gain) or send it to bankruptcy. Very few LBOs will actually grow the business and nurture the employee base.

I actually like Huntsman, so that means there has to be something wrong with him in regards to the GOP and it’s stance.

He seems like he at least knows something besides his talking points. Also, I like his daughters.
