But that gets back to the original circular argument. Small market teams and teams in “less attractive” cities (Memphis, for example) can’t afford to take many fliers on guys, at those prices.

Furthermore, those same cities rarely win the “powerball” lottery. So, it appears they are hosed coming and going.

The Houstons and Memphises are in the same boat, year after year. While the Lakers, Heat, Celtics and their ilk dominate the headlines, the others mud-wrestle for scraps of attention

You know my thoughts on Blake Griffin, Jersey. I suppose having an elite talent like Paul come in would add to Griffin’s one trick pony act though. He is the perfect compliment to that kind of player. Look what he did for Chandler.

He’s taking a flyer on the guy. I think almost all of his moves have been good ones, but you can’t win without a superstar. Houston not an attractive city like Miami, LA, NY and Rockets haven’t gotten a lucky ping pong ball.
