The Mathieu-Chuck Woodson/Luck-Peyton Manning parallels are interesting. But there are more viable candidates this year than that year, that was a 2-horse race.

I think Mathieu dropped out of the conversation for too long following his suspension. He also wasnt a big factor in the Bama game, Reid and Mo Claiborne made the plays that night.

Wasn’t the worst idea I ever saw. Bama vs Oregon would be a good matchup. The winner of that could possibly beat Okie St the following week.
