Great hire though.

I’m sure he is well versed at recruiting with a geographical handicap. Pullman ain’t a lot worse than Lubbock, if at all, at least they have a team that calls them a rival. Plus with his system, he hasn’t necessarily needed the best athletes to field pretty competitive teams.

From firsthand experience, the media suckage in State College is not limited to Paterno or PSU. In Centre County, essentially being an island (I often refer to it as “isolated and insulated”), you’ll find TV/Radio/Papers are not big on being aggressive for fear of being shut off. I’ve had this admitted to me on several occasions.

I do applaud the Post-Standard for being more upfront than ESPN about their operating decisions. I read it regularly and it is a good rag. It never has sucked Boeheim’s dick like State College media did to Paterno

are we really to believe deadspin? Then again, with the Fine couple, nothing will surprise me anymore. I do believe Boeheim will survive the season and retire at the end (especially if Syracuse wins)

The Post Standard has some rational explanations, but ignores pretty obvious insiuations. ESPN has some poppycock of “We couldn’t find any Laurie Fine audio to match up voices” and now apparently the 87 team was running a train on Laurie Fine and videotaping it.

I don’t know what’s going on anymore. I thought Boeheim was going to get out of this, but if he makes it out of this season I would be shocked.
