Watching sports with my father is such a beating. Everybody sucks (except Staubach, who is a god), black guys will never be able to play QB because “it isn’t in their genes,” and none of the games on TV that day will be any good because “those teams haven’t been good for 20 years, why would I want to watch that?”

Video games were the entertainment of my youth, adolescence, teenage years, college years and now into my adult life. I’ve slowed in the past few years but I don’t think I’ll ever stop playing video games.

This. My buddies and I play in a Tecmo Super Bowl league that starts in January each year. There are 13 of us. The playoffs consist of us smoking meat, getting drunk, and a championship t-shirt. I wish I was making this up.

The only video game my parents ever played was Guitar Hero.

I used to play my dad in Madden ’94 for Sega Genesis. We had a couple ground rules:

1. No one used the Cowboys
2. No one used the All-Madden team
