Do you want to hear a story about my alcoholic, recently divorced uncle? We had to put chairs and sawhorses around the perimeter of the fryer in the garage so he wouldn’t drunkenly knock it over. He was cool with that at first, but after a few more (can’t remember what he was drinking… maybe brandy… something odd) drinks he got offended that we felt the need for a barricade as to not give him or us third degree burns and/or burn down the fucking garage.

Half the fun is hanging out in the garage smoking cigars and drinking with the father-in-law, brother, recently divorced uncle, and alcoholic grandmother.

Wayne knows. Except mine was the alcoholic, divorced uncle. Grandma drank inside with the women-folk.

The only time I fried a turkey, it was about 68 degrees and sunny. Is it could around Thanksgiving around where you guys live or something? Ballz

Eh, it could be 10 degrees or 90 degrees. The men are outside during the Thanksgiving cooking. We’ll take care of the meat and the hens can take care of all the other crap inside. More than two women at one time in the kitchen makes for a chaotic household. Sitting in the garage or on the deck smoking brisket whilst drinking brown liquor makes it all tolerable.

Sounds like someone hasn’t read anything other than the snippets. SU, ESPN, and the Syracuse Post-Standard all investigated the claims. Nobody could corroborate the accusations so they didn’t run with it.
