All, College Football, Penn State Scandal November 8th. 2011, 8:56pm
The number of suspected child sexual-abuse victims in the Jerry Sandusky case has more than doubled, since investigators put out a call for victims to come forward on Monday. Authorities now believe the victim count could be closer to 20. The former Penn State coordinator is already facing 40 charges stemming from eight victims. Sandusky is free on bail. His initial hearing has been postponed until Dec. 7.

Not surprised. Saddened, disgusted, but not surprised. The guy ran a program for kids and had access to things kids would like — like access to Penn State.
And where is the PSU leadership?
November 8th, 2011 at 9:10 PM
“Hey child rapist, we’ll let you off on bail if you PROMISE to not fuck anymore kids.”

there may be some interest in this video of Joe Paterno addressing his adoring fans (Penn State students)

Not that it matters, but I wonder when it actually started and how. I mean, do you just go your whole life harboring these thoughts and then at some point lose the ability to suppress them? Or did something happen in his life at some point that made him do this?
What he did is awful, no question. But we know these kinds of people exist in our society and have laws and standards and procedures to deal with them. What’s so appalling is that at so many levels, for so long, all those things failed.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:16 PM
Any comments on the Rex situation? Any response to what your commenters had to say about that?
November 8th, 2011 at 9:19 PM
Dear Paterno supporters:
Thank you for your entry into our “Which Is the Worst U.S. State” contest. You are currently in the running with Florida. Good luck!
November 8th, 2011 at 9:20 PM
Im in favor of state sponsored dirt naps for these types of people. You can argue that executions wont be a deterrent but I’d argue that people like this shouldnt be allowed to live.

that should be an absolute circus. can’t wait to see the artist’s renditions.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:27 PM
This whole thing will be a circus. Sandusky’s lawyer seems pretty defiant but how do you claim innocence against a landslide of evidence like this, with this many victims? The state can just do trial after trial after trial until it gets its conviction.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:28 PM
His initial hearing has been postponed until Dec. 7.
Meanwhile Joe’s initial hearing was postponed during the Reagan administration. He-yo!
/but seriously fuck these guys
November 8th, 2011 at 9:29 PM
So Sandusky waits until the weekend to off himself? I guarantee there are odds on this somewhere.
/I will NEVER by a product from Vicks again.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:31 PM
I think I just single handily got rid of the Vicks pop up ad.
/You are welcome.

That first window picture of BroPa is successful in making me laugh each and every time. I’m sorry, but it’s funny.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:34 PM
wait, a post about Sandusky? What about Paterno?! Has he taken his dentures out, did he ever get out of that car?
at least there’s a post about the true villain in this disgusting saga.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:35 PM
Why is he free on bail?
November 8th, 2011 at 9:35 PM
Agree Gilly, although he looked surprisingly chipper when he answered the door to his home. Probably lots of meds. Amazed he answered the door. Then again, lots of meds.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:40 PM
anyone got a screencap of Scott Paterno. good lord was he fat.

Nah. Let him have a few years of hell on Earth in prison before he goes to eternal hell or depending on your beliefs, it all goes black. A child rapist in prison has to be the worst existence one can live. He’ll have some new shower buddies who will make him on the receiving end of the bear hug.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:49 PM
Some ESPN-ish (insanely dumb) comments in this article from the Penn State Student Newspaper.
Good to see the students supporting JoePa.
Granted, he made an error in judgment. But, you don’t fire a person for one error in judgment in 61 years!!
A reprimand is probably warranted but not a firing or walking papers.
Frankly, there is a lot more support for him there than I would have guessed. Obviously, I expected some… but get your head out of the sand people.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:49 PM
I blame this Penn State mess for Heavy D’s death
November 8th, 2011 at 9:50 PM
oh my.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:53 PM
That video of Joe addressing the fans at his house is….wow.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:54 PM
Oh man….. are these people at a house party? So much derp
/very get off my lawn’d of me, but still
//I hope UW hangs 60 on ‘em
November 8th, 2011 at 9:54 PM
It would be nice if TBL would refrain from any further comment on this mess and allow Ty or TSH or CRM to comment/post on this subject. TBL needs to take a timeout in deference to the BS he pushed on Rex.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:54 PM
You fire him if that one error in judgement led to even one kid getting raped…and if he is that fucking senile retire his fucking ass already
November 8th, 2011 at 9:55 PM
//I hope UW hangs 60 on ‘em
Because a football victory makes child rape go away!
/yeah, poor joke by me
November 8th, 2011 at 9:57 PM
I would crop that guy out of the photo above. Not really fair to him being in a photo with a headline that says “more victims”.
I can sense somebody chose it for it’s quasi-unseemliness but still…
November 8th, 2011 at 9:57 PM
fucking capitals… ugh.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:58 PM
Does anyone else think that JoePa would look better with a couple goldfish in the lenses of his glasses?
November 8th, 2011 at 9:59 PM
In fairness to get these people out to support JoePa, they had a open kegger next door with AYCE Taco Bell and pizza.

November 8th, 2011 at 10:25 PM
Did you catch how Scott Paterno told reporters that he wouldn’t answer any more questions, but then said “you’ll have to follow me on Twitter.” Crass.

November 8th, 2011 at 10:26 PM
Here’s an absolute weak mind who will indict others by inference and then not respond to legitimate criticism. Revel in your low 7 figures. Why no response to Rex. You afraid bro?
November 8th, 2011 at 10:33 PM
BTW, not wanting or trolling for the banhammer but honestly just wondering. I’d be rather upset if a remote bystander asserted some insinuations towards a close relative without certain facts in hand. I find the resulting silence sad and deafening at the same time.
November 8th, 2011 at 10:36 PM
I’m with you and obviously so are many other commenters, but you won’t ever see anything close to an apology or even an explanation from TBL. He’ll just dismiss any criticism, fair or not, or get defensive and make matters worse. The guy is as stubborn as they come.
November 8th, 2011 at 10:39 PM
November 8th, 2011 at 10:42 PM
I have nothing personal towards TBL but I am really put off by the sh*t spewed towards Rex’s family. I don’t expect an apology to him(RCDS), but at least have enough of a sack to comment or explain your position a bit more. I can go to a number of other blogs to see sh*t slapped upon a wall if that’s all that’s offered with no discourse.
It makes me want to throw away my smedium Jets jersey into the trash.
November 8th, 2011 at 10:54 PM
Been outta the country since this morning so a little out of it, but one BIG question…
At least one of the mom’s knew about all of this in 2002, and never said anything. How is this possible in the least? Was there money involved? If my kid had this shit happen to him I’m pretty sure the entire universe would know in 20 minutes.
November 8th, 2011 at 10:57 PM
How dramatic this has all become…people picking up their ball and going home, calls for answers (!), blah, blah, blah all with the background of KIDS GETTING RAPED! Who fucking cares about inference and long time commentors, and all that, this is the last place and time for some sandy vagina shit. Again, LITTLE BOYS ARE GTTING DICKS IN THEIR ASSES. Jesus.
November 8th, 2011 at 11:01 PM
You have my apologies.
November 8th, 2011 at 11:04 PM
Step 1: Read through a few posts
Step 2: Think before you type
Step 3: Just don’t post
Step 4: Go die in a fire.
We are all pissed about what happened to the kids. Sorry that we didn’t consult you before beginning our discussions here, dickface
November 8th, 2011 at 11:06 PM
longtime commenters know what this place was like before days like today happened.
got a feeling most comments will be nothing but ‘ /dick joke ‘ soon.

November 8th, 2011 at 11:17 PM
You seem very excited about this.
My guess is TBL never mentions this little episode in the comment section again. I also think that’s probably the right approach (unless it’s to publicly apologize for his obstinacy, which I do not expect).
All we can do now is see if he sticks to his guns and “tweet[s] it out every day this week in their honor.” I would imagine he’s just going to drop it at this point, but certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see him tweet about that post tomorrow.
November 8th, 2011 at 11:24 PM
J as in Jason? How clever of you, TBL.
November 8th, 2011 at 11:33 PM
WTF has happened to this website?
November 8th, 2011 at 11:38 PM
I guess Page views & money > integrity for some people
November 8th, 2011 at 11:39 PM
Where this incident differs from the ole miss and Bernard berrian posts is that tbl admitted after awhile that he was wrong. And then he deleted the posts.
There has been nothing of that nature that I’ve seen here.
November 9th, 2011 at 10:41 AM
over under on boys who come forward: 100
the class action lawsuit alone will force them to come out and get a little something for dealing with this creep
November 9th, 2011 at 5:45 PM
I am a PSU alum who really doesn’t care about football, yet I am deeply saddened by this whole scandal and how it will ruin the reputation of a better-than-average state university. Having said that, I hope Sandusky dies in jail! There is no worse crime except murder… and some of his victims may disagree with that.
November 10th, 2011 at 12:18 PM
Penn State should cancel the rest of the football season. Take the forfeits.
