Nebraska Volleyball’s Lauren Cook Reaches Plea Deal, Will Return To No. 2 Ranked Cornhuskers
On October 30th, Nebraska volleyball player Lauren Cook was involved in an accident that left two people injured. Cook left the scene of the accident before calling police eight minutes later. Cook, the daughter of Nebraska’s head coach, John Cook, sat out the weekend’s games. She will return to the #2 ranked team after reaching a plea deal.
She vowed to complete a one-year diversion program that includes community service, avoiding other run-ins with the law, and a promise not to drive.
Cook, a former Pac-10 Freshman of the Year at UCLA, has six previous speeding tickets.
