Jim is the fall guy. Woody Paige is the ring leader.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:22 AM
ELI!!!!!!
November 7th, 2011 at 8:24 AM
Congrats to Sparty and the Giants fans. The dude looks like a re-tard in his helmet but Eli can make plays down the stretch.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:24 AM
which will be followed up by NY Post using the headline “DOWN GOES FRAZIER!”
November 7th, 2011 at 8:25 AM
Weirdest part of yesterday: TBL cheering Eli on.
Fully expect a 3 game losing streak. This sucks.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:28 AM
Eli has taken the Manning face to levels that Simmons never dreamed. I am really surprised that the Giants are 6-2, without a dominant performance. But I have seen the Giants at 6-2 several times under Coughlin.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:28 AM
nothing on how John Skelton led his team to victory yesterday?
November 7th, 2011 at 8:29 AM
once i knew the Pats’ cover was blown, i went into full-blown Giants mode. i put on my Phil McConkey jersey! It was a blast. Eli was major impressive sans Bradshaw/Nicks.
CJ – i’d feel more confident about the Jets if the Pats’ D had made a stop. Pats will be very angry coming in. no way they lose a 3rd in a row.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:30 AM
If Sanchez can’t throw on the Pats’ D next week then he doesn’t belong in the NFL. That secondary is pathetic.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:31 AM
so we get a Tebow post today, right?
November 7th, 2011 at 8:31 AM
Reali: Living the dream.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:31 AM
The Steeler 2 minute defense was bad last night. But not as bad as The Walking Dead.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:32 AM
Cant believe f’in Flacco, 3rd down machine. That one drive could be the difference between home field with a bye and playing as a wild card. F that.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:35 AM
Plaxico, Plaxico, Plaxico.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:35 AM
He went out to the bars with a lot of us back in 2003 when he came back for homecoming. Cool dude indeed.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:36 AM
There’s no other way around it, some of the moves Belichick has made in the past couple years regarding personnel has not paid off. Not having a playmaking passrusher, not having a downfield receiver, cutting experienced defensive backs, Patrick Fucking Chung. It’s all catching up to them. Will be interesting to see where they go from here but the loss yesterday is going to hurt them down the road.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:36 AM
Well, they made plenty of stops, except on those final 2 drives. Especially when Chung, Spikes, and Guyton went out. Their replacements are the ones who gave up the 2 biggest plays, the PI and game winning TD. I wonder if we’ll ever see this year both the offense and the defense playing at full strength and at their best, it would be a thing of beauty.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:37 AM
supposedly the one on Saturday that they felt during the T Boone’s game you could feel in Fayetteville. I guess the bourbon had taken hold by that time because I didn’t feel a thing.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:37 AM
Ok, great, but they had given up less than 200 yards passing for 57 minutes. Much improved in this game. Hope Chung isnt really hurt.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:38 AM
Today is not a good day if you are a PSU alum.
Angry and sad. And neither emotion has a thing to do with football.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:40 AM
What pissed me off further when I heard – in PA, failure to report sexual abuse of a child only carries a maximum of a $200 fine and 3 months jail time. Fucked up.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:40 AM
It’s not like tattoos and pants were involved. Or playing golf at a country club. ESPN wont care that much.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:41 AM
Bears!!!
November 7th, 2011 at 8:42 AM
Yeah, great drive by the Giants. Amazing catch by Ballard, and a pretty fortunate PI call. The Pats also had a former Eagles ST linebacker (Tracy White) who they happily let go covering Ballard that whole drive. The Pats are in rough shape.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:42 AM
Ok, great, but when they needed a stop they couldn’t get one. What does Bill always scream on the sideline? “60 FUCKING MINUTES”. With the offense not producing because defenses have caught up, they need to be the ones making the difference on occasion.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:43 AM
Curley and the other guy (the finance guy) resigned this morning.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:43 AM
baby, you make me wish i had three hands.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:44 AM
That is beyond fucked up.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:44 AM
it wasn’t fortunate. it was blatant.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:45 AM
So this will be it for JoPa?
November 7th, 2011 at 8:46 AM
JoePa should step down, effective immediately.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:46 AM
Like I said, due to injury. That guy is a special teamer. He bit on a run fake when everyone knew the Giants could not run it at the 1 with time running out.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:47 AM
Contact was clear. But it’s not like without contact Cruz was getting close to that ball. Singing Eli’s praises today is fine, they won, it was a great last drive. But yeah, he also made some really weird decisions throughout the game and made near-fatal mistakes a few times.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:47 AM
dewar – the university president should be next in line to be shitcanned. Clean sweep all the way up to the board of trustees. This is absolutely awful.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:47 AM
Well I could see that coming. I knew they’d drop back into the soft zone and they did. Werent you at all happy with the way they were playing for most of the game, playing man and very aggressively? Agreed, put it together for 60 minutes. But still. A glimmer of hope.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:48 AM
Sorry for the length of this quote – but this is the most damning part of the whole PSU thing for me (as it relates to Curley and the police).
Then there is Sandusky’s dickhead attorney:
That’s it asshole – blame the kids
November 7th, 2011 at 8:48 AM

November 7th, 2011 at 8:48 AM
Bengals in the driver’s seat!
November 7th, 2011 at 8:48 AM
And do we really need to be mocking each other this morning? How about a hug?
November 7th, 2011 at 8:49 AM
Or a sober, objective view of things. If you get a PI call that takes you to the opponents 1-yard line on a pass your WR had no chance of catching… yeah, that’s some good fortune.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:51 AM
What’s Joe’s role anymore?
He’s either the aloof figure head with no real responsibility who shits his pants on the sidelines (as the joke goes) or he’s the Machiavellian Godfather. I don’t know if there is an in-between.
I’d be surprised if the AD and the finance guy are the last PSU employees to go.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:51 AM
Oh yeah – Bill Homo had a rough, rough night. The only people that were as bad as him on the field last night were Walt Anderson’s bunch of zebras. Horrifically inconsistent to the benefit of the Ravens on most accounts*
*not the reason we lost – still need to the stop on the 2 minute drive. But, they gave the Ravens A LOT last night.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:52 AM
I mean, I wasnt gonna be the one to say it. But I blame White overall, because he wasnt going to catch that, so there was no need to make any contact. Turn the fuck around and look for the ball.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:52 AM
You’re right CJ. I’m being overly critical and testy.
/offers hug
And that was blatant PI but unneccesary as Cruz never would have gotten to the ball, but it was the right call.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:53 AM
Agreed. No way are Curley and Shultz going to be the last to go here.
There will be some big time donors that will want some answers.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:54 AM
did you retile the showers or just use a powerwash to get the pederast stains out?
November 7th, 2011 at 8:54 AM
Success with Honor, people. Learn it and live it. At least those kids didn’t have tattoos.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:54 AM
As an Eagles fan, I can’t wait to play this Giants team again.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
“Why didn’t you molest then recruit some big time players that could’ve won us some games.”
November 7th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
Was it White? I thought it was the safety? Either way, they were a mess on that final drive.
I agree with this. Gotta make the call.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
My Facebook friend basically cried with his words on Facebook last night over JoePa, something about him being the last pure person he believed in or some shit. Dude, this is sports. Find a better hero.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
they played solidly for 57 minutes like you said, so there is some hope.
the ref’s turned a blind eye to all the holding the giants o-line did yesterday, which i recall happening in a very similar game between the two teams a few years ago.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:56 AM
/giggles
November 7th, 2011 at 8:56 AM
Andy Dalton. Legend.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:57 AM
Or a sober, objective view of things. If you get a PI call that takes you to the opponents 1-yard line on a pass your WR had no chance of catching… yeah, that’s some good fortune.
you’re meaning the earlier pass interference call, right? Not the one on the final drive? Because there was an uncatchable one, and then there was the one where #31 knocked the guy over on the final drive.
I may be delirious from all the hot piss, though. I love watching Ravens/Steelers.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:57 AM
Youre right, I got my 2 goats mixed up. That was Brown. Another injury replacement.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:58 AM
Does that mean you skipped The Walking Dead?
November 7th, 2011 at 8:58 AM
My Facebook friend basically cried with his words on Facebook last night over JoePa, something about him being the last pure person he believed in or some shit. Dude, this is sports. Find a better hero.
you should tell him he would probably enjoy the works of Georgia O’Keefe. They’d be like a mirror into his soul.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:59 AM
Haven’t spoken to my dad or my two uncles who all donate 4 to 5 figures a year to Penn State, but I’m sure they’re not thrilled at this.
Oh and fuck the Bears and their infected QB. I hope Babin ends his life.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:59 AM
Does that mean you skipped The Walking Dead?
it’s on the DVR and my parents in law were here. So I wasn’t even allowed to pause the game at any time. Between this fucking new guy, the old guy, and my recently cut open wife, I may be falling behind on my TV watching.
I’ve already dumped Boss and Chuck.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:59 AM
I was getting so many bad flashbacks in this game, and this was one of them. I loved when they showed Bill on one play, he didnt see that they had thrown the flag right away and was screaming bloody murder at the refs. I looked for holding after that play, and oh, it could be found.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:01 AM
Ugh, are the Pats and Jets fans going to try and out-cynical each other all week? Get over yourselves
November 7th, 2011 at 9:01 AM
LETS TALK ABOUT IT !
November 7th, 2011 at 9:02 AM
there was massive holding, on several occasions the d-lineman’s pads popped out over the jerseys becuase the giants were holding them back by the jerseys as they went to chase down eli.
holding and defensive contact are the two plays that are sooooo inconsistantly called in every game, for every team.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:03 AM
For dirt, I will throw a spoiler alert and put everything related to the episode in brackets.
Okay, spoiler!!! and here goes:
[]
November 7th, 2011 at 9:03 AM
He seriously looks fantastic. It doesn’t hurt to have AJ Green but he’s making names out of Jerome Simpson and Jermaine Gresham.
Also, the Bengals are the #1 seed in the AFC right now. What. The. Fuck.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:03 AM
Herschel sucks.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:04 AM
I had the twitter machine on at one point, so I know the Walking Dead was an absolute masterpiece last night.
Was the other show any good? Hell on Wheels?
November 7th, 2011 at 9:04 AM
Nope, Bob Ryan thinks that since joe pa told his ad (and not the police) he is absolved from all this.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:04 AM
I was unaware you guys had the new addition. congratulations, dirt.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:05 AM
but he’s making names out of Jerome Simpson and Jermaine Gresham.
I don’t know who Jerome Simpson is, but Jermaine Gresham was always going to be a huge pro stud, and I’m pretty sure he had a breakout year last year, on a bad team.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
bring it. this time we have Osi.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
supposedly the one on Saturday that they felt during the T Boone’s game you could feel in Fayetteville. I guess the bourbon had taken hold by that time because I didn’t feel a thing. Ark
Suposedly, the quake was felt up here. I didn’t feel a thing. Probably for the same reason as you. Delicious bourbon.
Was the other show any good? Hell on Wheels?
I’ll watch again next week.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:08 AM
I’m pissed at you making me watch it again. Let me sum up last night for you. The girl is still missing. The boy is still recovering. And…a zombie got stuck in the well!!!! That’s it.
Hell on Wheels was just “meh.” It’s supposed to pick up with episode 2 so I’ll stick around at least for next week.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:08 AM
The guy who caught Sandusky in the shower is that ginger whos on the sidelines now right? If he didnt tell Joepa the whole story, which the lawyers sound like theyre claiming with the whole ‘horsing around’ language, I bet he’ll be the fall guy.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:09 AM
At least the suckitude of Walking Dead will unite us. What a fucking shitshow. Horrible to the point of vomit-inducing. THey have spent 3 fucking episodes at this farm. One fucking zombie in last night’s episode. 1!
November 7th, 2011 at 9:09 AM
“horsing around” is just legalese for “ball slapping ass sex with a child.”
November 7th, 2011 at 9:10 AM
The guy who caught Sandusky in the shower is that ginger whos on the sidelines now right?
Yes, McQuery was the GA who walked in on Sandusky. Reading the grand jury court document was tough. Anyone who knew about this needs to be taken down.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
You forgot about the hot sexin’
November 7th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
they won’t be there much longer, that number will go up.
didn’t think they were going to introduce this upcoming part of the farm storyline, but last night confirmed it. that barn is bad news.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
Jerome Simpson is awesome. And Gresham was a first round pick who has so far been unimpressive but definitely has the pedigree. He’s missed the last two games with injury.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:12 AM
“That fucking bastard knew the locker room showers were ideal for cleaning up all that Santorum.”
-heard at my house yesterday
November 7th, 2011 at 9:12 AM
I don’t like guns, you can’t stay here. They should just throw Herschel down the well. Fuck that guy.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:12 AM
Ron Washington is awesome, even though he looks homeless.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
that’s phenomenal.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
You forgot about the hot sexin’
November 7th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
Jerome Simpson is awesome. And Gresham was a first round pick who has so far been unimpressive but definitely has the pedigree. He’s missed the last two games with injury.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:14 AM
Uhhh…yeah. How awkward was that?
November 7th, 2011 at 9:15 AM
The next episode, according to IMDB:
Season 2, Episode 5: Chupacabra
November 7th, 2011 at 9:16 AM
I was willing to pay that price of awkwardness to see Maggie in her bra.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:18 AM
If Dallas has a competent center, they are 6-2 or maybe 7-1.
One of the few guys in the league that can take the blame for 2-3 losses.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:18 AM
fyp
November 7th, 2011 at 9:20 AM
Have you read the comic?
November 7th, 2011 at 9:21 AM
Re: the PSU scandal, I understand the abuse took place on campus at the football facility. What were these young boys doing there? Don’t take this as me blaming the kids for being there. I’m not. I just think it’s odd that 10 year old boys would be there in the first place. Moreover, wouldn’t these kids being around seem strange to others?
November 7th, 2011 at 9:24 AM
got that one on DVR top watch tonight. hope it’s good.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:24 AM
i might be the only one that has.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:26 AM
it was weird, I had a buddy who lives right up the street text me right after it happened saying his fire place mantle was shaking but I felt nothing.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:26 AM
Sandusky was heavily involved in an organization that helped foster kids (so disgusting to look back on in hindsight) so I’m guessing others would view the visits as him thinking it would be cool to show the kids the stadium and such
November 7th, 2011 at 9:27 AM
No. And if that is the way it goes down in the comic it is fine. BUT this is the TV version, and they are languishing in one spot without moving the story along. The shittiness of this show only galvanizes me to keep watching.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:29 AM
Judging from the Twitter machine, we may about to get an angry Duffy piece that makes all other angry Duffy pieces pale in comparison.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:31 AM
Not quite – I understand he started telling JoePa the whole story and Joe cut him off and said we need to get other people involved. It’s not that he held back information from JoePa – in fact McQuery’s testimony is understood to be the most detailed.
McQuery will be fine IMHO.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:33 AM
Derp! The Walking Dead sucks!
Hell on Wheels has a cool and unique concept. The main character looks the part of the gunslinging, nothing-to-lose guy. I had no idea the black dude was Common. I liked parts of it and will check it out next week.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:35 AM
I think the last Boardwalk episode was a bit unrealistic. I’ve never heard of a crusadin’ decent looking female special prosecutor in the early 20s.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:35 AM
Wow. That makes it even worse.
November 7th, 2011 at 9:52 AM
It’s never too early to recruit the next mediocre LB.
November 7th, 2011 at 10:28 AM
And…a zombie got stuck in the well!!!!
I wonder if in life his name was Timmy.
As for the Oklahoma quake … I was at Winstar on Saturday, and the only time I felt the building shake was when Alleman hit that FG in OT. It seemed like everyone turned away from the slots, with half the crowd glued to the Okie State-K State game and the other half glued to LSU-Bammer.
November 7th, 2011 at 1:53 PM
Condolences to all the PSU fans. The Copyrights have it right…..
November 7th, 2011 at 1:54 PM
Was s’posed to be a link there….
