Notre Dame’s Special Shamrock Helmets Are an Abomination
The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame have unveiled the unfortunate helmets they will be sporting this Saturday in D.C. when they go up against Maryland in what’s been coined the “Shamrock Series Game.”
If the prideful vision of the design team was to evoke “Scrooge McDuck’s cartoon gold” with a giant shamrock slapped on it, consider the bold mission accomplished. Each and every one of them should take a well-deserved, triumphant bow.
Lining up against the Terps and their artistically torn helmets this weekend is all but a lock to look like an enormous arts and crafts show for misguided morons. Can’t wait.

I think the shamrock needs to be a little bigger…

You cannot tell me that a 6 year old did not design that. I refuse to believe that an adult would take such a nonsensical approach to something that is based on this.

The players Brian Kelly didn’t recruit asked to wear those no doubt

If I had to wear one of those I wouldn’t want my name on the jersey either

I just… can’t.
November 7th, 2011 at 5:55 PM
Are they also changing their name to the Shamrock Vipers for the game?
/it sort of looks like snake skin under the gigantic shamrock

Nice use of the OUTRAGE tag…which seems to have had a nice spring run, but has been dormant ever since.

I feel like you could have done a lot better on the caption…

Notre Dame Is an Abomination
Clarified that for ya.
Amazing that it was someone from Happy Valley who managed to come out as a bigger waste of humanity than Brian Kelly, killer of interns.

Glory averted. Took wrong turn at logic, lost glasses, drove directly into wall.

Between this, blaring rock music on 3rd downs, and the losing……I would be very upset if I were an ND fan.

LOVE IT. LOVE IT. LOVE IT.

I blame those weird hippies in Oregon for all of this.

Really Nada? Brian Kelly killed an intern. You are clearly looking for a reason to hate. Dummy
