Kim Kardashian is Filing For Divorce (Already) From Kris Humphries
Kim Kardashian, just 72 days after that joke of a wedding to NBA basketball players Kris Humphries, is reportedly filing for divorce today. TMZ says:
We’re told even though the marriage was short, she will not seek an annulment. It’s a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites “irreconcilable differences.”
We’re told the date of separation is listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011.
Kim has hired disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has repped the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson, Mel’s almost ex-wife.
I said all I had to about these blithering assclowns last week. I’m done. She’ll be on her back for another athlete within the hour, I’m sure. Hope she didn’t leave Humphries with any parting gifts. Good luck shagging the Hoboken 7s, Kris.

So, Spoiler here, it was difficult to discern what happened in that last scene where Jimmy and Harrow were in a standoff with Luciano and the other guy. If I understood correctly, it sounds like Luciano decided to join with Jimmy and they are going to fight Waxy Gordon’s control of Philadelphia. Nucky may get outflanked if he’s not careful.

I just bought the new Nano. It’s a nice piece of equipment, but I use it primarily for the work commute and working out. I bought the 8gb which I believe was $160. The touch is going to be able to play games and has a way bigger screen to view movies\videos if this person were so inclined. I bought the Nano soley because it wasn’t clunky on the arm band for hitting the gym — if that wasnt a factor I would have bought the touch.

This is what I figured was happening. That could be a potentially good alliance considering Jimmy is losing his support amongst the elders of Atlantic City.
My complaint about parts of this season is how complicated the story lines are getting. It’s almost like the writers are trying to stuff every historical character associated with bootlegging and graft in the 1920s into this season. I can’t figure out at all why they having George Remus in the story. He seems to be there for the sole reason of having someone who smiles a lot and refers to himself in the third person.

go check and see if you are getting a free preview of either Showtime or Starz. Both of those have really good shows just starting out and you can catch up on demand and see if you want to spend a little $$ this winter on better TV channels.

I love when historical characters are brought into the story and when a fictional story is woven into actual historical occurrences. For example, the reference to the U.S. Attorney General preparing to defraud the Veterans Bureau are true. But so many other parts of the story seem to exist simply because some writer remembered a character from his 20th Century American History class in college.

You know who thinks George Remus is an unnecessary character? George Remus.
Remus was a fascinating character in real life, and by some estimates made $60-$80 million (in 1920s money) during the first two years of Prohibition. Then his showgirl wife cheated on him, divorced him and stole most of his money while he was in prison. Once he got out of prison he killed her and then was acquitted by a jury.
The show isn’t taking advantage of any of that. He’s just…there.

If you can move a file from one folder to another or to your desktop, you can put music in an iPod.

Some of the characters in the show have their names altered from the person they are based on. For example, the actual boss of Atlantic City at the time was Nucky Johnson. And he succeeded the Commodore, but his last name was Kuehnle (or something like that) instead of Kastner. So if someone has an altered name, odds are they could be in for something not historically based to happen to them.

Same here. GG I would definitely go for the iPod Touch. Once she figures out how to use it (maybe her brother will help?) she’ll like all the Apps options and will probably get more use out of it than she would a nano that is really only good for listening to music.

No chance of that! They both have good phones. She has trouble doing certain things(some mental issues) so that is why she always has trouble putting songs on.
I see young kids with smartphones all the time, it’s baffling to me. I think i am the last person without a smartphone. If she is having issues with Itunes, maybe look at the settings on the ipod when you plug it into the USB port. Sometimes the songs marked ‘checked’ or certain playlists are not going to sync b\c the setting is such that it wouldnt go onto the Ipod.

Homeland on Showtime is an awesome show. That is a must watch on Sunday night for me. Really great acting, exciting plot line, interesting characters.
I haven’t seen last night’s, but that’s the best show I’m currently watching. Although I have a hard time ignoring Claire Danes’s super short legs on a super long torso, combined with a pony butt. It’s a very odd body shape. And she should act with her mouth closed more. Not the talking parts, but the breathing parts.

The updates ALWAYS cause issues and this one has completely crashed the system. And of course it’s the busiest day of the month because all the sales people are scrambling to put in contracts so they hit their October numbers.

I’m pissed about the timing of this update, not that the update happened. The beginning of the month is ALWAYS the slowest part of the month. Doing it on the 28th when there is still another business day in October was an idiotic idea. And if any of the people in charge of doing this update (not IT, but the managers in sales operations) would actually talk to the people that use the system every day, they would have known they were doing something stupid.

High fives to pki and coop. Most companies that I deal with have a change control window which is usually on a weeknight or a weekend, so if there are any issues, there’s time to fix them. ultimately it’s management’s responsibility to approve change control requests.
