St. Louis Cardinals Force Game 7 in the World Series Thanks to a David Freese Walk-Off Home Run

The Texas Rangers won the World Series tonight with a 9-8 victory in Game 6. The Rally Squirrel is alive and well. The St. Louis Cardinals, who were down to their last strike of the season in the 9th and 10th innings, won it in the 11th on a David Freese walk-off homer. For the first time since 2002, the World Series is going to a 7th game. I’m going to bed. I did my best to jinx Texas by writing this post well before it was over. This Fall Classic, is just that.

I mean, most of that stuff actually happened. I think. I might be hallucinating.

am I the only one that isn’t impressed by the whole same-call thing? I mean, Joe Buck used a variation of it when the Sox beat the Yanks, right?

Joe Buck had the exact same call last night to end game 6 as his father did in the 1991 World Series. Very cool
I’m indifferent to Joe Buck, but while I cannot say it was creative — I commend his nod to his father.
