I still remember getting torn a new one because I wasn’t stepping correctly during a boxing out drill on foul shots.

our country school had a bobby-knight type as head hoops coach. since we were so small, and he also was a gym coach, he knew everyone and vice versa. it was common knowledge that he had knight-like blowups, and tat sooner or later you’d have one directed at you. i got it one day….he thought i smirked at him in the hallway, brought me into his office and ranted and raved, saying some shit that told me he and the head fb coach weren;t buddies (i was a minor minor fb star). sent me on my way, and as also expected, apologized through another coach later
