Greg Gumbel took a shot at Hulk Hogan earlier this afternoon because it was reportedly his turn to saddle up on the Gumbel family high horse and pontificate on something in dire need of pontification. So what did the man with 24″ pythons do to inspire such ire? Well it appears the Hulkster’s recent remarks on SportsNation regarding Tim Tebow did not sit too well with the portly CBS broadcaster.

Let’s revisit the gist of Hogan’s verbal assault on the Broncos polarizing QB:

“At the end of the day my arms are bigger than his legs… I can make his back crack, his knees freeze or his liver quiver just by pointin’ at him, brother!”

Deadly words. More importantly, Hogan was without a doubt, devastatingly serious. You’ve got to hand it to Greg Gumbel for having the grapefruits to call out a professional wrestler, a professional wrestler clearly in character, for making such wacky, inflammatory comments.
