Rocco Andreozzi and partner Kim Wasko won the 2011 North American Wife-Carrying Championship yesterday in Maine. It was their second consecutive victory. I don’t understand why they’re eligible since they aren’t married, but I’m not to write the rules committee. For their troubles, Andreozzi won entry to the World Wife-Carrying Championship, Wasko’s weight in beer and $620. (5-times Wasko’s weight in cash.) Last year, Andreozzi and Wasko finished 5th in the World Chamopionship. To raise money for their trip, they created a flavor for Shaker Pond Ice Cream. Why does it seem like they are living a ridiculously easy life?
