One more problem. The combination might get Beano Cook so excited about the glory days of Doc Blanchard and Glen Davis that he might finally explode, taking out much of Western Pennsylvania. That means no Pitt, which means the ACC has to raid the Big East for one more team, bringing us back to where we started.

Navy is a really good football program. Air Force has had success. Shit, they shut down Georgia Tech in a bowl game last year. They can compete.

While the military academies would bring some great attention to the conference (and money), in terms of competitiveness, I don’t see how this accomplishes anything.
