RIP Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, died today at the age of 56. Jobs died from complications from his long battle with pancreatic cancer. The New York Times already has a 5-page obituary for Jobs published. Above is his Jobs’ 2005 commencement speech at Stanford. Much more to come tomorrow.

I believe Pixar was Steve’s greatest contribution to American culture.

Not much of an Apple guy, but this guy was a visionary. RIP. We may not see his kind again any time soon.

What an amazing man.
I’m repeating a joke I used earlier elsewhere, but I hope that five minutes after he’s buried, some coffin company comes out with a sleeker, lighter, more ergonomic coffin.

How is that person in Tennessee doing that had a donor liver stolen from him/her because they weren’t wealthy enough?

All your money won’t another minute buy.

that person wasn’t wealthy enough because he spent all his money on booze and cigarettes. also, coincidentally, that’s why he needed a new liver.

Made me think of my freshman year in college – 1985 NCAA Basketball on the Apple 2e – no graphics, stat-based game with every roster from the 85-86 season. I ran Iowa with Roy Marble and BJ Armstrong. Could take everyone but UNLV. Strategic Conquest on the Mac Classic was pretty awesome, too.

Visionary entrepreneur and innovative genius that history will place on par with Edison and Ford. RIP.
