West Virginia Fans Poke Fun At Post-Katrina New Orleans To Prepare For LSU Game

West Virginia hosted #2 LSU today in Morgantown. LSU won 47-21 behind the rushing attack of Spencer Ware and Michael Ford and four West Fucking Virginia turnovers. Simple enough. Oh, wait. Here’s a picture of some WVU fan selling t-shirts that have a reference to Hurricane Katrina and FEMA. That’s just wrong, but you have to give him the benefit of the doubt – as a West Virginia fan, he probably didn’t know what the t-shirt actually said.

Also, my comments from last night’s game:

Nobody should freak out b/c they gave up 450 passing yards and no sacks. First, they ran the ball, what, five times? Second, we let them go underneath all day. Only one pass was completed deep all day (and it was a perfect pass that was defended as well as it could be). With our punter working it like he was, if WVU could put together 5 90-plus yard drives with only short passes, then they deserved to win.

For people that say that Les Miles is an idiot, he has to be the most common-sense coach in college football. Run the ball. Don’t commit turnovers. Don’t give up the big play. Wear down your opponent in the fourth quarter. Who’s the idiot–Les Miles or the other guy who abandons the run after the second series and lets us drop 6 guys into the secondary because we dared the QB to scramble with our 3-man rushes and he still wouldn’t do it?

And finally, shutting up their Seven Nation Army loving ass with that Mo Clayborne kick return is my highlight of the season. The only time I got up and screamed and laughed at the opposing team’s fans all year.
