This. I use the online service when I don’t know what I want, but our local Fleet Feet is very active and supportive of groups and races, and I always try to buy as much as I can there.

That’s actually good. The Fleet Feet I worked for was terrible with that because the owner was a cheap, lazy douche who wouldn’t let us give HS kids discounts, or give gift certificates.

The amount of people that come in for race stuff is remarkable here in the DC area, I don’t want to know how much in gifts we give away.

The Whole Foods partnership we’re doing though, that shit is the bomb. FREE FOOD!

I would kill to have the time to be bored. I’m procrastinating eating lunch instead of putting away the 15 boxes of shoes that just came in. Fuck you, UPS guy. Fuck you. Couldn’t wait until Monday.

If I could ever find someone who could tell me the right shoes, and right running style (i used to be a heel striker, with more heel pronation than foot pronation i think) I’d be happy.

Fleet Feet is usually pretty good, I started out working at one back in the day. They’re pretty thorough in terms of training employees to fit shoes, more than the place I run now. I’m thorough with new employees, but I think I’m the only one.
