WVU deserves props for at least one thing: the PRT. That’s the monorail conveyance that carries students between the two campuses and runs through downtown. A great way to get to and from High Street bars without driving when you’re blasted.

True story: I was on WVU campus once, staying in a stranger’s campus apartment. We went to the grocery store. On the way back, he stops his van when he sees a woman walking alone, says “let’s rob this bitch” and jumps out after her.
And yes there were couches on almost every porch.

If I were an Eagles fan, I’d rather he sit against that front four than risk serious injury in week 3 of a 17 week season. That’s just me though.

I understand that line of thinking, however they need to go 2-1 and get as many wins early because the end of the season schedule is brutal (@ Giants, NE sunday late game followed by Seattle thursday game, Jets, @ Dallas)

There was a bar in Iowa City called The Nickelodeon that was on the Coralville strip. When you walked in, it was like the scene from Animal House.

“Can we dance wit yo dates?” Except these were big, fat, white farmers. They did have Keystone tallboys for $0.50 though. They sold cigarettes behind the bar for $2 a pack too.

but back in the day, the teams were onoy part of the draw. gifford/cosell/dandy don in the booth, halftime highlight package(done by NFL Films?) before cable came around with cosell narrating

right, and ESPN doesn’t have the right people for the booth, nor do they have the quality games to make up for it.
