Jesse Holley’s 77-Yard Catch And Run Started Two Years Ago On Reality Television
J
esse Holley caught the first three passes of his career today against the 49ers. None were bigger than the 77-yard catch and run that set up the game winning field goal. Holley, of course, was caught at the 1-yard line as he began to hold the ball up in celebration.
Since Dan Baily made the field goal and the Cowboys won, we can forget that he was guilty of premature celebration and focus on Holley’s insane show of emotion on the sidelines. The guy just goes on and on like he won the Super Bowl. Look at that joy. Look at that because he obviously wants you to look at him!
The former North Carolina Tarheel basketball player came to the Cowboys’ organization in 2009 after he won Michael Irvin’s reality competition, 4th and Long on SpikeTV. He got an invite to training camp and scored the game-winning touchdown in a Dallas preseason game before getting cut from the 53-man roster. Holley stayed on with the Cowboys practice squad and ended up playing 12 games last season.
If Holley had dove for the end zone today like he did during that touchdown, I can’t imagine what kind of celebration we would have seen.

Still upset at Holley for not scoring.
I’ll take a push … but the cheering during the 77 yard run made it feel like a great cover.

yeah, cost my 2 Large on not finishing the fockin play. I got a push, but for pete’s sake finish the catch and run.
would have been a miracle cover, but I case I should be happy with the push considering they were down most the game.

I think Romo probably said “Don’t fuck this up and be an asshole, asshole. If I throw it to you you’d better fucking catch it.”

Once again proving the trusim:
First score the touchdown, then Lett the celebration commence.
