it’s cheaper though, no HW fees, just a $6 lease fee per month and my HD and DVR service is free.

i know people have had shitty experiences with it, but my parents have had it for years w/o issue and so far so good for me.

the super low cost in the first year is great since i just bought a house and need that extra cash.

at least it’s better than our time warner internet…highest speed? not anymore. no notice, no email, no call to see if we want to update…we’re paying for slower internet for more money than the fastest and STILL our internet goes out 5 days per week.

and they’re wholly uncooperative whenever you call them. time warner is the devil.

is comcast dish? i knew the risks of getting a dish when i was getting into it. and the 99% of the other times, DTV’s actual service is pretty good.

only provider in my area, aside from directv, so they also get that “don’t care, who else is there” attitude when i tried to haggle prices.

when i did have comcast, the price for service was about average, but then it was an extra $15/month for the HD box, an extra $12/month for HD, an extra $10 for Dvr capabilities…they screw you. and if you want a phone line…$45/month for local and long distance. wtf…

my problem isn’t that the shit goes out in bad weather (happens MAYBE once per month), but that they’re completely and utterly unwilling to take care of their current customers in the slightest.

only time i had a problem was during the hurricane last month.

it’s all about cost savings for me, no way I’m paying comcast what they want, especially now that AMC is in HD on directv.

reminds me, i have to go back to the comcast office and remind the severely cross eyed lady at the desk to remove the non returned hardware fee they keep trying to charge me.

for the amount of money you’re paying.. that’s unacceptable. I can’t remember the last time comcast went out. I don’t think it’s happened since I’ve been down here.

I can’t see getting it in an area where it snows a lot. that thing was always out back in WI. Even a moderately heavy rain would knock service out for a half hour.

i just started with directv, don’t think i’ll switch back to comcast even when the monthly costs even out.

getting a free year of NFL ticket still puts you ahead of the game on all future NFL ticket purchases in the long run.
