It’s news because we’ve been fed–sometimes force fed–constant garbage about Sarah Palin. Yeah, she was a VP nominee, but she’s now a fame whore like the rest of the celebutaunts. I think the Glen Rice angle is a salient detail for some because it’s still odd for some that a black man bangs a white woman. Not odd is in “bad” but odd as in “you don’t see that every day.” And it also plays into the “the GOP doesn’t like black people! how will they react to THIS?” storyline.

It also helps that she’s pretty hot and nearly all of us would give her the business.
