Yes, The Air McFly’s Are Here. No, You Can’t Afford Them.
Nike has finally released the AIR McFlys. You can call them MAGs all you want, but they’ll always be the AIR McFlys to me. Nike has released 1500 pair of the AIR MAGs McFlys and you can bid on them on eBay until 11:30/8:30 Pacific tonight. While the shoes still look as ridiculous as they originally did back in 2015, it’s for a good cause and all that jazz. Proceeds from the auction go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for the treatment & cure of Parkinson’s disease. Also, you have bragging rights because who has AIR McFlys? Nikelodeon should recreate pieces of the Agrocrag for charity.
To make it sports related, here’s the spot with Doc Brown, Bill Hader and Kevin Durant.
“Marty McFly’s closet.”
And finally a closer look at the shoes. If you’re a big fan of the nonsense I write, I’m a 13. I’m sure you can still write the sneakers off even if you give them to your favorite blogger.

Most unbelievable aspect of BTTF2 is their heavy reliance on fax machines
He’s faking it

For an extra $100 you can get them autographed by Michael J Fox himself.

And their multi-screen television wasn’t even in HD.

You must remember the McFly family was living in the slums of Hilldale, Marty got involved in that dirty deal with Needles solely to get HDTV

That is terrible but really made me laugh

Stark – did Duffy really say that? If so, another reason to hate that pompous ass.
September 9th, 2011 at 7:38 PM
I think Duffy (like many uninformed people) suggested that mental illness was fake.

No, Limbaugh pointed out that MJF stopped taking his meds prior to testifying in front of congress to exaggerate his symptons. Media Matters twisted his words and went so far as to doctor video from Limbaugh’s webcam to make it look like Limbaugh was making fun of people with Parkinsons. But don’t let that get in the way of your story.
September 9th, 2011 at 7:59 PM
umm, how is this not any worse? Unless Fox actually did stop taking meds for that reason. Is that true? Honestly asking, not trying to troll.

rub some dirt on it. yes, your brain!

I thought he did. But whether it’s true or not, I don’t think it’s dishonest to present the disease in an unmedicated state. Drug cost is a significant economic burden of disease, and inadequate control causes significant mortality and morbidity. You wouldn’t criticize a diabetic for suggesting that despite the existence of insulin, a more permanent cure for diabetes would be desirable.

when you put it that way, it doesn’t sound bad at all. If he was upfront and honest about the whole thing and said that he stopped taking meds to show what happens if you aren’t fortunate enough to afford them, that’s fine.
One thing is for certain though, Rush Limbaugh is one of the biggest scumbag ever. Him and his talk show buddies have contributed their fair share toward the toxic political environment in this country.

I think that was Limbaugh’s point. MFJ didn’t disclose it when he testified. Only afterward did he admit to not taking his meds.
September 9th, 2011 at 8:18 PM
Well, then that’s just wrong. But Rush Limbaugh is still a scumbag. The man has nothing but hatred in his heart. Horrible, horrible, just awful guy.
September 9th, 2011 at 8:20 PM
What was the point of talking about it in the first place? I’m aware of what his actual point was, just wanted to make a little internet joke…still don’t understand what his deeper motivation was

It was all in the context of the stem cell research debate. Kind of a touchy subject for many on the right.
