Florida A&M University women’s basketball player Shannon Washington was stabbed in the neck and killed early this morning after allegedly getting into an argument in the apartment of a friend. Washington was an All-American player at Illinois Valley Community College before transferring to Florida A&M where she was expected to play shooting guard in the fall. The school will hold a vigil tonight at 8:30 p.m. at the FAMU Eternal Flame to celebrate the life of Washington.
