I can see that, it just doesn’t happen to me very often. Sometimes small details are missed but unless we were playing some scrub school I never got past the point of rememebering.

Our friends are getting downtown on Sat at like 8 in the morning. Fuck that noise. I’m not leaving my place until 11:30 and that’s to eat before pounding booze. I figure I’ll have 6 hours or so to drink and that’s good enough for me.

I can see this for baseball games because a series of small events can lead to run scoring. Keeping score helps. I stopped doing this for a long time, but picked it back up again a couple of years ago.

Football and hockey, I have little trouble remembering the big moments if I’ve been drinking, for whatever reason. Probably because, the scoring events, when they happen, are celebrated like New Year’s Eve.

I dunno, I like to remember my team’s games, especially if I shelled out the dough to see it in person. Like to be able to put it in the memory bank.

Someone has to explain to my why going very drunk into an event you’ve bought a ticket for is any fun.

Drinking before an event is one thing. It’s possible to consume alcohol before an event and still be in control of one’s faculties.

Black out drinking before an event is just silly and wasteful.
