NBC Gave Darren Rovell His Own Show. Meet His New Sideline Reporter, Erin Sharoni

NBC is currently in the process of transforming and re-branding Versus as NBC Sports. With the changes, Versus/NBC Sports will begin airing live weeknight studio shows like NBC Sports Talk and ProFootballTalk. They’ll also be giving a weekly program to everyone’s favorite sports business crooner, Darren Rovell.
That’s right. Starting this Fall, you’ll be able to spend your Friday nights with the King of Twitter. Rovell’s weekly show will be called “Sports Biz: Game On,” which sounds like the prequel to a Disney Channel movie about teenage sports agents. Instead of a co-host, Rovell will have a sideline reporter. Don’t worry, it’s cool to ogle her.
@DarrenRovell: Please give a strong Twitter welcome to my show’s sideline reporter @ErinSharoni. She’s smart, loves sports & she’s nice to look at.

Sharoni is a former St. John’s basketball sideline reporter and did an all-access show for the Red Storm Report on SNY. She’s also a FILA model and recently completed her first acting role in Peace After Marriage. Also, it appears she’s comfortable with her butt.
It looks like Rovell probably met Sharoni about a year ago when she appeared on CNBC to promote FILA workout pants. Obviously she made an impression.

Erin, don’t get too close to Magic!
August 31st, 2011 at 10:50 AM
That… that is one dumb fucking title.

Cue whining about Rovells tweets, even though people can stop following the guy at any time. Oh wait, then those people would have nothing to bitch about. Silly me.

I think the adjective we’re looking for on Ms. Sharoni is either tight or taut. One of the two.
August 31st, 2011 at 10:56 AM
I don’t follow Rovell, but I admit to enjoying all the people in my feed who make fun of him. So please don’t stop, people.
August 31st, 2011 at 10:56 AM
That doesn’t stop the re-Tweets, think I eventually just had to block him

that pic in the yoga pants is FUCKING AWESOME.
August 31st, 2011 at 10:58 AM
I won’t watch his show, but I do follow him. Hopefully we get Twitpics of Erin’s rump in more FILA gear. They make assless chaps, right?

good stuff right here.

She looks like the Octo-Mom.

That’s not Magic Johnson. He died in 1992.

There are a LOT more annoying tweeters out there than Mr. Rovell. Including many TBL commenters.

How will this show affect the ability of Robinson Cano to get an endorsement with Taco Bell?
August 31st, 2011 at 11:08 AM
We need a list… I can think of a few names that would be on there. I don’t know why I don’t just unfollow them. I guess I feel guilty. If you’re sending more than 10 tweets a day on a regular basis, you need a Twitter-vention.

Ask Janoff.

Yeah, Im just not sure why I would want to follow the thoughts of people that I converse with all day long in here. Twitter for me is for information/the funny.
August 31st, 2011 at 11:09 AM
The people need to know my thoughts on White Sox baseball, helps others suffering know they’re not alone
August 31st, 2011 at 11:10 AM
Name names. Do it.

Just make sure she gets plenty of oats and hay. An apple or carrot is good also once in awhile. Then she won’t be too tempted to chomp when it’s your turn.
August 31st, 2011 at 11:12 AM
But they all follow me on Twitter(though I have no idea why). Dont want to lose my precious followers.
August 31st, 2011 at 11:13 AM
I guess I don’t really have any rules. If I think I’m going to enjoy someone’s tweets I just follow, and usually as soon as I don’t any more I stop.
ProFootballTalk having a Twitter feed has been great. I don’t have to head to their site and skim through the annoying stuff Florio and his crew does, I can just click on what is going to be useful from the Twitter feed.

Rovell sucks. His “sports business” columns on CNBC.com are awful.

PAY ATTENTION TO ME!
August 31st, 2011 at 11:18 AM
I like conversing after hours through twitter with some peeps here as an alternative to facebook. Some people are more entertaining than others. I don’t want to miss out on any interesting twitpics.
August 31st, 2011 at 11:18 AM
thats an attractive looking sideline horse. hope NBC gives her a healthy diet of oats and hay to keep up the energy.
August 31st, 2011 at 11:18 AM
This is why Rovell is just awful.
/can’t stop following him
August 31st, 2011 at 11:21 AM
Oh jesus. See, I couldn’t handle that without turning into a member of the angry Internet mob and turning caps lock on before replying.
August 31st, 2011 at 11:22 AM
I think the non-TBL person whose tweets I enjoy most is Doug Farrar, actually.

The Fake Tony Plush account is delightful when he gets to telling a story

I really liked Not Real Lou Holtz but I haven’t seen a tweet from him in forever. He probably got banned or something.
