According to reports out of California, police in San Diego are investigating a man’s claim that he had an altercation with Kobe Bryant in church over the weekend.

News 10 claims that Bryant and his wife were attending St. Therese of Carmel Church in Carmel Valley Sunday and “thought someone was taking pictures of him with a cellphone.” The LA Times, citing another TV station, writes that Kobe thought someone was taking pictures of him and his wife.

Both TV stations claim Kobe grabbed the phone from the unidentified man’s hand, searched for photos, found nothing, and returned the phone.

Not surprisingly, the man who had his phone grabbed went to the hospital afterward to have his wrist checked out.
