Excitement Reaches Unmanageable Levels in USA-Mexico Friendly
Last night’s friendly between the US and Mexico at the Linc was far too much to handle for some of the participants, particularly No. 9 on Mexico, who apparently entered the city of Philadelphia with wide-eyed dreams of doing a Geno’s-Pat’s-Jim’s breakfast-lunch-dinner throwdown. Ambitious for sure, but also quite foolish. Such a feat is about as realistic as Andy Reid seeing his own dick.
Between this incident and Matt Ryan soiling his pants last season, it’s a fair observation to say the white look is simply not working in professional athletics.

fecal matter!
August 11th, 2011 at 10:05 AM
I’m grossed out.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:05 AM
This is what happens when a body used to processing Mexican food is introduced to the Philly Cheese Steak.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:06 AM
Even the writers don’t read the posts.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:07 AM
If you make a habit of mentioning Andy Reid’s dick I think more people are gonna stop.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:07 AM
I ate some mexican food last night and similar results followed. Not that I shat myself but if I were running around a grass field doing a 90 minute cardio I most certainly would have.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:08 AM
It always sounded racist when Ian Darke would describe something about this team. “A Mecksican Substitution” or “A Mecksican Corner” would always get a “I’m not sure you can say that” at our viewing.
He did not describe this fellow as “a dirty Mecksican”, although it seems like this would have been allowed.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:10 AM
I think people get more grossed out by use of the term “pube strand”, though it’s been awhile.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:11 AM
I recently attended a racial sensitivity seminar and learned that the term Mexican…not offensive.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:15 AM
You totally missed out on a game (match?) being played in PA involving poop to make a Joe Paterno joke.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:15 AM
Wait…the word “Mexican” is allowed now, not only in general conversation, but on TBL message boards too?
/mexican
August 11th, 2011 at 10:19 AM
I have never experienced any of the restrictions on words that you guys talk about. I have carte blanche.
/tests it out
bleed blood

This is what Cracker Jack’s pants probably look like, with all the farting she has been doing after Red Sox wins
August 11th, 2011 at 10:21 AM
So didn’t need to see that.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:21 AM
Awesome.
I enjoyed some Chipotle for dinner last night. Definitely paying for it right now.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:22 AM
Tiger doubles 15; now back to -1. 15 is a Par-3 256 yard hole with water in front of the green. Jesus.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:23 AM
Maybe #9 is a hermaphrodite? He/She might have started his/her period.

August 11th, 2011 at 10:28 AM

Yea St. Bear that does not fly apparently.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:31 AM
Oh dont get SC started. What a fucking hissy fit last night.
/I dont get ESPN News either
August 11th, 2011 at 10:32 AM
lolz
August 11th, 2011 at 10:35 AM
Neither do I, but since it was a soccer match I was unmoved by what was happening other than my continuing quest to make people who get into the LLWS feel shame
August 11th, 2011 at 10:35 AM
so who won this match last night?
August 11th, 2011 at 10:35 AM
TheBigLead Jason Mcintyre
Hopefully after the Giants collapse in the 2nd half (they’ll open strong, that’s obvious) NYG fans will finally admit the Jets rule NY now

Speaking of chocolate, I want everyone to know today is Miracle Treat Day at DQ across the country. One dollar from every Blizzard you buy goes to Children’s Miracle Network. DO IT.

August 11th, 2011 at 10:37 AM
People who watched baseball, especially those who saw Tony La Russa getting kicked out of another game

/like kissing your sister
August 11th, 2011 at 10:38 AM
WHY ARE YOU CONTINUING TO IGNORE THE FACT THAT PEOPLE DONT GET THIS CHANNEL?
I dont even like soccer but youre being obtuse.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:39 AM
American food does wonders for the digestive track.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:39 AM
I’m not arguing with you this morning CJ. I made my point last night.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:40 AM
Duffy will cover the result.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:40 AM
that call at first was more bullshit than Bryce Harpers
August 11th, 2011 at 10:40 AM
What did you call me?
/Warden Norton’d
August 11th, 2011 at 10:40 AM
Well, at least only one of the soccer posts will be shitty today.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:41 AM
TBL is just trying to get a rise out of us. It’s cute.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:41 AM
You made no point, no sense, and you smell like Binaca
August 11th, 2011 at 10:41 AM
Brett Gardner managed to keep his composure after a horrendous call at first in yesterday’s LAA-NYY game. Seems like the boys in blue had a rough night all over baseball.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:41 AM
so we are getting multiple soccer posts on a match that doesn’t count towards anything, and yet there won’t be a single post on the final golf major of the year. awesome.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:43 AM
phillymantis915, you live in Princeton? Chucks and Hoagie Haven I presume are regularly consumed.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:43 AM
Last night’s match was Jurgen Klinsmann’s debut as coach. It warrants coverage.
I don’t know what to say about golf.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:43 AM
This, Plus first NFL preseason games.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:43 AM
But watch them use “meaningless exhibitions” to describe bowl games
August 11th, 2011 at 10:43 AM
I believe you forgot this
August 11th, 2011 at 10:44 AM
and yardwork.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:44 AM
The DP Show had an interesting conversation wondering if starters might play more this preseason to make for any lost time in practice…I tend to think not but perhaps some coach will
August 11th, 2011 at 10:46 AM
Lovie has said his starters will play the whole first half on Saturday. I bet also loses both challenges and goes to the locker room with at least 2 timeouts in his pocket as well.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:46 AM
I agree, and I am fine with it. just kind of making a point.
and I know it was a while ago, but I still read every comment of yours in the Mel Gibson screaming voice, and it still amuses me greatly.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:47 AM
I’m thinking veteran teams wont play a lot of the starters, I dont expect to see Brady tonight. Younger teams or new QBs/ new head coaches will probably play more.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:47 AM
I think Arizona is going to play Kolb a little longer than normal.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:47 AM
Yes sir on all accounts. Had Hoagie Haven about three weeks ago.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:47 AM
so what you’re saying is between all of that and the bullshit field conditions at Soldier, the bears are in mid-season form?
August 11th, 2011 at 10:51 AM
You betcha, ark. The lights went out at night practice in Bourbonnais yesterday too. The Bears are off to a GREAT start.
August 11th, 2011 at 10:53 AM
/pants heavily
August 11th, 2011 at 10:55 AM
Nice.
Conte’s pizza rocks.
August 11th, 2011 at 11:08 AM
phillymantis915, you live in Princeton? Chucks and Hoagie Haven I presume are regularly consumed.
Walk another 30 feet to George’s. Good wings, souvlaki and hoagies just as filling as the Haven.
August 11th, 2011 at 11:10 AM
I’m actually relieved that this turned out to be a picture of a dude with shitty shorts. At first I thought it was a woman with a visitor.
August 11th, 2011 at 11:20 AM
Yes. Incredible. That’s definitely some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.
