John Elway’s Biggest Fan Has A Large John Elway Tattoo
You know, you never see a sports blog write a post on a good tattoo. I never read, “Oh, wow. This tattoo is breathtaking! What a reasonable decision.” It’s always, “Hey, look at this douche. Can you believe he has to live with that every day?” This is another one of those posts.
This leg belongs to Denver Broncos’ fan, Joey Bouchard. A Denver Post reporter happened upon him while hiking one day and Bouchard was glad to share the story of his awful body art. His tribute to Elway isn’t done though – Bouchard plans on adding more Elway-inspired decorations to undisclosed locations.
You know, I think the next logical step is for a hardcore Denver Nuggets fan to get a tattoo of Chris Anderson somewhere on his body. It might be the first tattoo that has tattoos.
And while we’re on tattoos, Rex Ryan’s new tribal is stupid.

Gerard? That you?

Craig Counsel is one AB away from tying the all time consecutive AB’s without a hit by a position player.
He is currently 0 for his last 45 and hasnt had a hit since June 10.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:06 PM
I hate Craig Counsel.

Jered Weaver got 6 games for his actions Sunday. Good.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:09 PM
I would like to echo that sentiment, mostly for his AZ days.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:09 PM
So he misses one start. Way to go MLB.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:10 PM
Oh, so one game.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:10 PM
I feel like they need to adjust the suspensions when dealing with pitchers. 6 games to a pitcher is completely different than 6 games to a guy going out there every day. They need to start suspending pitchers for starts, not games.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:10 PM
MS, I would have been hurt if no one had said it. Cheers. And no. But, hey, great tattoo! What a reasonable decision.*

This was my thought as well.

I’m cool with it. If Weaver had to sit out two starts that would be bullshit. That’s like taking away 2 wins from the Angels. A starting pitcher is much more valuable than a positional one. Usually a position player will appeal and get 2 games knocked off anyways.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:18 PM
Weaver is going to appeal and it’ll be reduced. It’s fact.
/where is jck, did he set up the fantasy league yet?
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:19 PM
A starting pitcher is much more valuable than a positional one.
This statement is just begging to be argued over and discussed in more detail.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:24 PM
That was pretty much a blanket statement. I didn’t really feel like putting more thought or explanation into it. Anyways, Weaver through at a guy. Big fucking deal. Usually positional player are suspended for fighting or charging the mound.
Oh and Philly
I got a TBL League if your interested.

August 2nd, 2011 at 7:26 PM
Well he threw at a guy’s head, not his side or ass. Should he have only gotten more if he actually hit Avila in the head with the pitch?
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:28 PM

Fair enough. It’s an intriguing debate, but I’m about to leave work, so it’ll have to wait for another time.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:29 PM
I haven’t gotten an e-mail about it yet, so I assume he hasn’t yet.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:30 PM
Weaver could of thrown that ball an inch from his nose if he wanted. He was just sending a message. If he would of deliberately hit him in the head, that’s malicious as fuck. No one is that stupid to intentionally hit someone in the noggin.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:31 PM
I think the results matter. See: Max Pacioretty.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:36 PM
I understand all of that, but he could have sent the same message by drilling him in the side right? And someone with Weaver’s control and ability, you can’t say that pitch got away from him either. He deliberately threw at Avila’s head in this case. Personally, I think one start is fine in this case and was originally saying that the system as a whole needs tweaking.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:37 PM
Lazy…
/Randy Wells is terrible
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:38 PM
I don’t think Weaver should have been suspended.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:40 PM
C’mon join my league. Unless your afraid to lose
When does fantasy hockey start? Still can’t believe Geez ran away with it. Lucky bastard. I’m thinking about possibly changing to H2H.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:42 PM
Can we please keep hockey roto? I am not a fan of H2H fantasy sports. It’s probably why I don’t care for fantasy football. The guys that start 0-3 just give up.
I am interested in fantasy hockey again. I’ll draft my own team this time.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:45 PM
We’ll see. Hockey H2H is just like baseball H2H. You can recover on a weekly basis. I would like to get at least 10 people to participate this year that will stay active.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:47 PM
Hey vlad, I tried joining but it said it was full. Did you just need one guy and philly took it?
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:50 PM
Really? Last time I checked it was just me and two other people. It may be holding spots for people that have yet to re-join from last year. Lemme check on it. There should be 7 spots open.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:50 PM
I’m no good at hockey but willing to jump in there if you’ve got a spot.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:52 PM
Try it now. I opened up 4 spots.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:53 PM
Then the manager should just pencil the guy in for six straight games, there is no such thing as a “scheduled start” until the manager turns his lineup card in
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:53 PM
That’s why football leagues almost have to be money leagues. If there’s no reason for people to pay attention, they don’t.
And if there’s a spot open in the hockey league, I’m game.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:55 PM
I’m in now, thanks.
August 2nd, 2011 at 7:58 PM
Should be. I can only think of 4 or 5 people that were active last year and still around.
August 2nd, 2011 at 8:05 PM
Sweet. When you set it up, drop me a line at krog0022 at the google
August 2nd, 2011 at 8:08 PM
Hawk
I’ll just let you know on here. Are you interested in joining a football league? I still need 6 people. I would rather just get it filled in now so I can forget about it till the draft in September.
August 2nd, 2011 at 8:31 PM
Vlad – That the one you linked up top a ways?
August 3rd, 2011 at 2:27 PM
That John Elway tattoo is gay.
August 4th, 2011 at 9:56 AM
A day later it’s still gay.
