Ubaldo Jimenez Traded To Cleveland
The Colorado Rockies and Cleveland Indians have agreed to a deal that will send All-Star pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez to Cleveland in exchange for four minor leaguers. Jimenez started his final game in a purple uniform tonight, giving up 4 runs, 2 hits, 4 walks and striking out two on 45 pitches in one inning. As he left the field, he was greeted with hugs from his soon-to-be former teammates. He did not return for the second.
In return for an ace, the Rockies are getting pitchers Alex White and Joe Gardner, and first baseman-outfielder Matt McBride. In a month they will also get pitcher Drew Pomeranz who can’t be traded until he’s been a professional player for a year.
Update: Apparently, this deal isn’t 100% done because the Rockies decided to start Jimenez tonight (Which was pretty freaking dumb). Talk are ongoing, but I’m sticking by my sources.
Update 2: ESPN and Ubaldo, himself, say he’s been traded.

Alex White is a nice get for Colorado — he’ll be a good #2. Not sure about Jimenez in the AL, though. I guess he’ll be fine in the Central!

Cheers crm. Tip for the wise. Dont bother watching elektra luxx. You would think a film with tara from FNL and sloane from Entourage having a lesbian scene would be worth your time…..but you would be mistaken

I’m pretty upset about what was sent the other way. At least the Tribe have control over Ubaldo for a couple years. Ubaldo/Masterson/Carrasco/Tomlin/Carmona is really solid. I think they can win the division. But I’m pissed they dealt Pomeranz.

yes Theo, let’s trade for an oft-injured pitcher in Rich Harden….

Honestly, Ken Cosgrove to some extent. And that is about it. TV show full of terrible human beings. That’s how you know it’s good.

I can’t believe Harden is only 29. That’s almost too old to play cornerback.
There’s been all this anticipation over Lars Anderson, and it releases itself into Rich Harden.
If I were from the future, this would seem dialectical.

I’m not sad that the Sox got rid of Anderson. He wasn’t going to make it to the majors with Gonzo on the club for a few years so it made sense to ship him off.

I get that vibe from Cosgrove. Wasn’t sure. It’s all funny to watch now cause I’ve seen that Don Draper skit from SNL.
