It’s still pointless. What he did last year was play to his full athletic potential in addition to the commitment change he made to the game since his comeback. Talking about the player he was before prison is fruitless in a legit debate because he isn’t the same player from either one of those perspectives. If he was the same player and had the year he had last year, you may have a point. But as is always the case with you, you’re like a guy with no hands. Pointless.

also, i think media attention does have an impact. if it didn’t randy lerner wouldn’t have invited that browns fan to discuss shit with him personally after writing that letter a few years ago.

remember, it’s a business. no matter how much we like to play fantasy GM where we make the calls in a vacuum, the owners make the ultimate decision. if they don’t want to pay or want this or want that, they get it no matter what the personnel dept says.

I repeatedly said he was a different QB last year than in Atlanta, MEANING, he was obviously not a quality quarterback with the Falcons. Last year he was. If you want him to do it more consistently I understand that, but you are selling him real short on his QB play last season.
