Kevin Kolb Traded to Cardinals for Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2nd Round Pick
As expected, the Eagles traded backup QB Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals this afternoon, and they actually got a nice haul in return – a 2nd round draft pick and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. According to Adam Caplan of Fox Sports, Kolb reportedly inked a 5-year, $63 million deal with the Cardinals.
Guess Arizona was so desperate for a QB, they felt like overpaying. Gotta keep Fitz happy, right?
I like this deal more for Philly now than I did before (when it was rumored to be a pick or Rodgers-Cromartie). Worst-case scenario: Vick goes down with an injury and is lost for the season, Philly goes 4-12, but they come back strong next year with a three high drafts picks … and a new head coach. This is not a knock on Andy Reid, but sometimes, new blood can be vital to a franchise.

5-year, $63 million deal with the Cardinals
!!! For the second coming of AJ Feeley? Seems like a lot.

July 28th, 2011 at 3:05 PM
I guess they have money to spend right?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:06 PM
Winners: Titans
Losers: 31 other teams
July 28th, 2011 at 3:08 PM
Holy shit. Speechless
July 28th, 2011 at 3:08 PM
How much of that $63 million is guaranteed? Holy christ that is overpaying…
July 28th, 2011 at 3:09 PM
Vince Young to the Dawfeens?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:10 PM
that’s a lot to give up. ARizona better hope this guy is legit.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:10 PM
How much of that $63 million is guaranteed? Holy christ that is overpaying…
That’s key… if only 15MM or so was guaranteed, that might lessen the sticker shock a bit.

5-year, $63 million deal with the Cardinals
I guess they have money to spend right?
I think (and I repeat) I think that the contract Philly gave him last year was 2 /13, but the first year was only 3, so that he was a 1 year/10 million guaranteed guy.
So subtract that guaranteed money from this guaranteed money and the deal doesn’t seem quite as bad. And they really needed a QB.
And the Eagles got a whole bunch for a guy they barely even had to showcase.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:11 PM
over $20 mil guaranteed for Kolb, per Caplan.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:11 PM
Kolb reportedly inked a 5-year, $63 million deal with the Cardinals.
Shit. That’s David Garrard money.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:11 PM
Where’s my Brad Smith post?
/representing jpq
July 28th, 2011 at 3:12 PM
Quite the step down from Kyle Orton, no?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:12 PM
And this is why Ted Thompson stays away from free agency.
That is incredible.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:12 PM
Vince Young to the Eagles!
/vomits
July 28th, 2011 at 3:12 PM
I will be interested to see how much of that money is guaranteed. Cardinals overpaid. Only question is by how much.
Eagles made out. Bolstered their secondary and got a high draft pick out of it. Unlike the Chargers a few years back who had Brees and Rivers and didn’t have the balls to do a deal the year before Brees contract was up.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:12 PM
Nope, I’m wrong. He already pocketed the 10 million. He was due for only 3 million this year.
Now is the time to wish you were an NFL backup QB. Sweet lord this asshole’s made 30 million bucks already.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:12 PM
Vince Young to the Dawfeens?
Quite the step down from Kyle Orton, no?
Vince Young to the Eagles!
/has seizure
July 28th, 2011 at 3:13 PM
Be careful what you wish for, Philly fans.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:13 PM
…..and we were just talking about Ryan Howard’s contract earlier
July 28th, 2011 at 3:14 PM
With the Eagles getting DRC, does that take them out of the Asomugha running? I mean, the Jets are $10 million under the cap according to Adam Schefter, so why wouldn’t they just offer him all 10 and then forget about signing anybody else all offseason? Or better yet, offer him 8 and still have 2 million left to work with!
Well, besides the fact that NA won’t be taking a MOTHERFUCKING 7 MILLION DISCOUNT FROM HIS SALARY LAST SEASON TO PLAY FOR ANYBODY.
/Shut the fuck up already, Jets fans.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:14 PM
Fantastic.
Loota dimp for the Cards to shell out for a dude that hasn’t proven himself yet.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:14 PM
with all due respect to phillymantis, fuck ryan howard.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:14 PM
Kolb reportedly inked a 5-year, $63 million
To put this in perspective, I believe Aaron Rodgers signed a 6 year, 65MM deal back in ’08.
What’s Kolb’s W-L record?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:14 PM
12.5 million a year for someone who has 8-10 average career starts. God Bless America.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:15 PM
With the Eagles getting DRC, does that take them out of the Asomugha running?
I think they just traded for their nickel corner, or their fallback position corner.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:15 PM
so the Cullen Jenkins to the Redskins deal is dead, according to Douche Florio
July 28th, 2011 at 3:15 PM
Now is the time to wish you were an NFL backup QB
I always wished I could be a really good middle reliever. That is the best job in sports. If you’re good the year before you hit free agency you’ll bank like $40M for a few years of the least scrutinized position in sports. Think of it as the bizarro Jackie Robinson, if you will
July 28th, 2011 at 3:16 PM
How did I miss this sentence, glad to see TBL is full on board the fire Andy Reid train.
I literally said the same thing in the Howard thread. No need to apologize at all.
Eagles still have lots of $$$ to go after Nnamdi. Make it happen Fat Reid!
July 28th, 2011 at 3:17 PM
lazy river ftw!
July 28th, 2011 at 3:18 PM
so the Cullen Jenkins to the Redskins deal is dead, according to Douche Florio
good. That puts Dallas back in the running for the guy. He probably wanted Stephen Bowen money.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:18 PM
And sorry for bringing that little rant into this Kolb thread. Can’t believe this guy just got a 63 million dollar contract. I don’t care how much is or isn’t guaranteed, it’s still mind-boggling.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:18 PM
They must be saving up to sign Vince Young or Kyle Orton to a 4 year $75 million contract.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:19 PM
But just remember, if rookies were put on the free market instead of drafted they wouldn’t be paid handsomely at all
July 28th, 2011 at 3:19 PM
Thankfully this one guy puts the Cardinals over the top.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:19 PM
Come on home big man
July 28th, 2011 at 3:19 PM
I assume Kolb was under contract for at least one more season. Why the rush to fork over $63 mil to someone as unproven as him?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:20 PM
Signed, the SB XL Steelers and SB XLII Giants.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:20 PM
Matt Cassel received a 6/$63m/$28m deal two years ago.
In light of that, this seems reasonable.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:20 PM
Beanie Wells is still the Cardinal’s running back… right?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:21 PM
That is a good trade for Philly, but that definitely means they are not going after Nnamdi anymore. DRC better not dissapoint.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:21 PM
Have one good year, sign a deal, then after it’s finished (and you’re finished) wander around the majors for about three or four more years. If you’re a lefty there’s someone out there waiting.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:21 PM
this.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:21 PM
Matt Cassel received a 6/$63m/$28m deal two years ago.
Wasn’t that after he was QB of a 10-6 or 11-5 Patriots team though? Kolb can’t have more than 8 starts in the NFL. Or does he?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:21 PM
Great deal for Kolb.
I think the assumption here is the contract is going to be front-loaded, of course. Cardinals should be able to get out relatively unscathed after year 3 if Kolb doesn’t live up to their evaluation of him.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:22 PM
What a disaster that piece of shit turned out to be.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:22 PM
With the state of the QB play in the NFC East he would have double digit interceptions in just the six division games he played.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:23 PM
The perspective here is re the 2008 detail.
Rodgers had a grand total of zero career starts before the ’08 season. (He signed his deal one month into the season).
July 28th, 2011 at 3:23 PM
Matt Cassel received a 6/$63m/$28m deal two years ago.
In light of that, this seems reasonable.
it’s also Romo money and it’s also Marc Bulger extension money. Quarterback money is just plain nuts. Moreso than any other kind of football money (except high revenue owner money).
But this guy got a 10 million dollar bonus last year, too. He’s sitting pretty. He better get a hot blonde girlfriend soon.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:23 PM
Kolb just earned 5.7MM for every TD pass he’s had in his career. (11)
July 28th, 2011 at 3:23 PM
Matt Cassel received a 6/$63m/$28m deal two years ago.
In light of that, this seems reasonable.
Wait…what? Because Cassel was overpaid, it seems reasonable for Kolb to be overpaid?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:23 PM
Point is, both have talent but questions remained about their viability as a franchise’s #1.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:23 PM
so after 11 games, we are convinced of vick’s ongoing consistency?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:24 PM
Rodgers had a grand total of zero career starts before the ’08 season.
And how many career starts does Kolb have?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:24 PM
Hmmm…slow Manning, Sexy Rex/John Beck and Tony the *omo…yeah lots of pickst here.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:24 PM
Yes, he took over the single greatest offense in NFL history and failed to make the playoffs.
/not sold on Kolb
July 28th, 2011 at 3:24 PM
The perspective here is re the 2008 detail.
yessir, that’s the truth. If he asked to renegotiate now (or had an out clause), he could get some big fat money. Drew Brees money.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:24 PM
Yep.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:24 PM
If Kolb is as good as Matt Cassell then the Cardinals will win their division and this trade and contract will… have happened. So much faint praise in that sentence I don’t know what my point is
July 28th, 2011 at 3:24 PM
That’s the point. Put in proper “perspective” this deal makes a lot of sense.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:25 PM
And how many career starts does Kolb have?
Well, more than 1.
/not sure exactly how many.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:25 PM
And how many career starts does Kolb have?
no more than 7.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:25 PM
Kolb can play defense?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:25 PM
No. It means that a market had been set previously and Kolb fits into it.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:25 PM
He’s sitting pretty. He better get a hot blonde girlfriend soon.
And young. He’s in a good place for that, thankfully. Choose wisely, Kolb
July 28th, 2011 at 3:26 PM
Fatass TE whose name I can’t spell or pronounce just got released by the Bears. Looks like they’re really clearing house at TE. Making room for something it would seem. I just have no idea what.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:26 PM
Yup. Against the skins alone he could four next year.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:26 PM
Yes, he took over the single greatest offense in NFL history and failed to make the playoffs.
The “failed to make the playoffs” part of that sentence really took some credence out of your point. They were 11-5. I believe the 8-8 Cardinals made the playoffs that year.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:26 PM
Go Bills! We may have holes at nearly every position, but I’ll be damned if we don’t have seven great returnmen.
/looking forward to seeing Smith run the option with Spiller
July 28th, 2011 at 3:27 PM
I think Kolb picks a big titted brunette. Named Staci, and yes, with an “i”.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:27 PM
Cardinals were 9-7. Chargers won the AFC West and “hosted” the 12-4 Colts even though the Colts had already beaten them in San Diego that season. And then, like, Darren Sproles as the Colts third-string TE whiffing on his block on third and two happened.
It was a bad day.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:27 PM
Because Cassel was overpaid, it seems reasonable for Kolb to be overpaid?
yes. Quarterbacks are overpaid. Speculating on QB’s requires lots of payment, too.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:27 PM
Holy shit!
July 28th, 2011 at 3:28 PM
No. It means that a market had been set previously and Kolb fits into it.
Ok, that makes more sense.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:28 PM
I’m just hoping to see Spiller figure out how to run down the field and not across the field
July 28th, 2011 at 3:28 PM
I believe the 8-8 Cardinals made the Super Bowl that year.
And almost won, too. Wasn’t that the year?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:28 PM
if i were a ghey beagles fan, i would be concerned a) that vick can stay healthy, and b) he can be consistent. because he has not been over his career.
and if VY signs there, you might as well have mr hankey as you backup.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:28 PM
Wow, the Expos have a Twitter feed?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:28 PM
I would love nothing more than this. I just don’t see it happening. Also still need a little help at LB and I would just be surprised if they splurged after signing DRC.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:29 PM
SC, that’s definitely a wow
July 28th, 2011 at 3:29 PM
Holy shit!
That’s tragic but I don’t know if it deserves a “Holy Shit!”.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:29 PM
Wow, the Expos have a Twitter feed?

The fat toad!
July 28th, 2011 at 3:30 PM
The seasons sample size with Andy Reid and the Eagles is one. And the results were rather breathtaking.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:30 PM
I believe the 8-8 Cardinals made the Super Bowl that year.
And almost won, too. Wasn’t that the year?
I thought it was… but bsanders is right… they were 9-7 the year they went to the SB. 8-8 in 2007.

/still remember the old “Modells” commercials with Michael Kay screaming “Another Hide-Kay!”
July 28th, 2011 at 3:31 PM
I agree with your premise, but would the market price have dropped due to the new salary cap being lower*?
*it is lower, right?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:31 PM
The seasons sample size with Andy Reid and the Eagles is one. And the results were rather breathtaking.
vick has had breathtaking results all the way back to v tech. but consistent qb play, no way.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:32 PM
Yes, I think it’s lower by nearly the same amount proportionally as Kolb’s total deal worth is to Cassel’s.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:32 PM
If I recall correctly, they clinched that horrible division super early and coasted for the last month, including being obliterated by the Patriots in the snow in much the same way this year’s Bears were. Oddly, both those Cardinals and Bears advanced further in the playoffs during those seasons than the Patriots did. The point being, when a team plays 17 or 18 games in a season, it might be difficult to decide who the best team is based on only one of those.
But there’s really no other way to do it as currently constituted and, dammit, it’s pretty fun.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:33 PM
yeah, good point. Football is back but wtf did they agree on? There is a whole lot of talk about deals and free agency but no post or articles on what has changed.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:33 PM
5 years $63 million’s not bad when you realize Sanchez will make at least $13 million this year. The going price for even a shitty QB is pretty high.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:33 PM
I know where you’re coming from, but I thought we all decided that clearly the 2010 version of Vick is a completely different guy/player than the Falcons version, no?
Obviously injuries are a concern. No doubt.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:34 PM
So he should start dating a titty dancer?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:34 PM
Jeter got himself a titty nurse, so maybe a dancer is an upgrade?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:35 PM
Who will the 3rd person be in this trio? My hopes are on Mercury Morris, but my money is on Peter O’Toole.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:35 PM
Last year was much different than any of his seasons in Atlanta. Sure, he still had the amazing running plays, but he actually played the quarterback position well for the first time. And now he is going into the season expecting to be the starter. I think he’ll be good again.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:36 PM
If I recall correctly, they clinched that horrible division super early and coasted for the last month, including being obliterated by the Patriots in the snow in much the same way this year’s Bears were.
yeah. Those cardinals got blown out on the east coast 5 times. And then they won an east coast road game in the playoffs.
And Anquan Boldin got his face destroyed in the Meadowlands while Kurt Warner and he were playing fantasy football down three touchdowns inside of 2 minutes. They were racking up stats and Boldin got massacred. Final score of that one was 56-something. And Brett Favre was a hero in NY>
July 28th, 2011 at 3:36 PM
I know where you’re coming from, but I thought we all decided that clearly the 2010 version of Vick is a completely different guy/player than the Falcons version, no?
he gets injured b/c he is not a true qb. he may have shown shades of it last year, but he got hurt while running, which he still has a tendency to do more than most.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:36 PM
we all decided that clearly the 2010 version of Vick is a completely different guy/player than the Falcons version
I think the idea is that he’s finally in the right system to take advantage of his abilities. (insert dog joke here) He’s physically similar to Steve Young and it’s pretty much the same system that the 49ers have run since the dawn of them being a decent team
July 28th, 2011 at 3:37 PM
but my money is on Peter O’Toole
I’m pretty sure he’s taken in so much scotch by this point in his life that his insides are perfectly preserved.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:38 PM
I think this is right.
Plus, much has been made on the Twitter how team “savings” from rookie deals are now going to veteran deals.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:38 PM
The 2008 postseason was everything that’s wrong about the home-field awarding of playoff games
July 28th, 2011 at 3:38 PM
That’s correct. During that stretch, the Eagles obliterated Arizona, only to go on to lose in the NFC championship game in Phoenix. I was at that game. What a frustrating day.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:39 PM
Oh jesus.
I’m not even going to ask you what that is supposed to mean because I’m afraid of where it leads us. But his passing numbers were outstanding last year. Consistent throughout the year. And it was more than just numbers. He was making outstanding, NFL elite QB throws, regularly.
Different guy than ATL Vick.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:40 PM
Hope: Kathrine Heigl
Most likely: Lindsay Lohan. She’s been cheating death long enough.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:40 PM
pretty sure he gets injured because he gets hit. but what about the 20 plays where he avoids shit a “true QB” wouldn’t and couldn’t avoid.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:41 PM
Vick can throw a great deep ball. Keep holding out Mesean.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:42 PM
Eagles fans still have their tickets punched for the superbowl.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:44 PM
Did you actually watch him play last year? Or just a few highlights of his long running plays? He was fantastic as a passer last year. I know it’s a small sample size because he didn’t play a full season, but again, he’s much different than the Vick in ATL.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:44 PM
Oh jesus.
I’m not even going to ask you what that is supposed to mean because I’m afraid of where it leads us. But his passing numbers were outstanding last year.
i think vick did great last year, and what i meant is that his skill set is unlike any other qb’s (freaky). but he gets hit a ton, and has been inconsistent mostly. so we will see.
pretty sure he gets injured because he gets hit. but what about the 20 plays where he avoids shit a “true QB” wouldn’t and couldn’t avoid.
dumb. he got hit making a play a true qb cant make last year.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:44 PM
You mean the season we snuck in the playoffs by destroying your bitch asses in a Week 17 playoff game? I remember that.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:45 PM
Cards got two home games against teams with better records (including that Philly team that waxed them on Thanksgiving) simply because they won a terrible division, don’t agree with that at all…plus if the league wants more Week 17 games to mean something that would be a perfect change to make if teams were still fighting for a home game in the Wild Card round
As you can tell, I have many passionate opinions about this issue
July 28th, 2011 at 3:46 PM
Not quite as good as destruction in week 17 and in the first round of the playoffs. I remember that.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:46 PM
there was a play where he ducked underneath a blitzing CB at the last second, avoiding a hit where a guy had a head full of steam was going to bury his helmet right in vick’s chest. a QB takes that, and god knows how bad he could’ve gotten hurt.
injuries happen bro. and if it’s something physical regarding vick, it’s that he’s on the smaller side, not that he’s “not a true QB.”
July 28th, 2011 at 3:47 PM
I hate the rule as well. Philly fans can blame Jake Delhomme.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:49 PM
injuries happen bro. and if it’s something physical regarding vick, it’s that he’s on the smaller side, not that he’s “not a true QB.”
i dont mean the “true qb” as a bad thing. i just think his awesome speed and quickness will lead him into situations that most qb’s dont get into, and he will get hurt doing it.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:49 PM
While that was a sad, dark time for Eagle fans, the beating that Philly put on Dallas in 2008 was worse.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:51 PM
Call me crazy, but I like the fact that winning a division brings major advantages. I understand the counter-arguments, I just like emphasizing the divisional format.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:51 PM
Ha. I agree with this mainly because once Jamaal Jackson went down in Week 16 that year I knew it was over. That line was trouble all season, and losing him that late in the year was not something they were recovering from.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:52 PM
Tom Brady probably wished he was led into one of those situations that one time he got his knee nuked.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:52 PM
Getting a playoff spot when you’re 8-8 is more of an advantage than you already deserve
July 28th, 2011 at 3:53 PM
I am on the record that I think Kolb will be an average quarterback (not A.J. Feeley) and that is worth giving up a pick for. But I do not get the contract at all. Why must you have him locked long term? Make the trade, see what you’ve got, maybe extend this deal by a year and give him a little bit. But what leverage did Kolb have? say no, and go back to Philly?
July 28th, 2011 at 3:56 PM
You think they should have given him that cap friendly, 4 year $2.2M deal that the Chiefs gave their messiah? He’s always been a team first guy, perhaps Kolb just isn’t. Not everyone can have the desire to win that Rick does.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:56 PM
The only way it makes sense is if in a couple days they announce a 4 year extension of Fitty.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:57 PM
dumber. He got hit making a football play. QB’s get hit inside or outside of the pocket.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:57 PM
wow that’s a ton of $$. He’s really not even that good.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:58 PM
The Cards paid $63Mil for him not to test free agency after the season. If no contract and he lights it up with Fitz, then you would have paid double after the season.
July 28th, 2011 at 3:59 PM
dumber. He got hit making a football play. QB’s get hit inside or outside of the pocket.
dumbest. you missed the point, as you usually do.

unintentional comedy. you think you actually make a point.

intentional pointless dumbassery.

Give Kevin Kolb credit for being able to translate looking the part into big money. 3-4 since 07? Even Scott Mitchell had to go 3-4 in one season before he got his big contract
July 28th, 2011 at 4:06 PM
see. you thought made a point.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:08 PM
but he doesn’t look the part…he looks more tommy kramer than tom brady.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:11 PM
I will give the credit to the Philly Sports writers.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:13 PM
What exactly was your point? Because if it is that Vick can’t play “true QB,” apparently you didn’t pay attention last year.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:13 PM
@spencer – You think a pro personnel department like the Cardinals can have media attention affect their evaluation of a player? What I’m saying is, if Kolb had the exact same career arc (with a coach as known for QB development as Reid) in Seattle, do you think he’s valued the same?
July 28th, 2011 at 4:17 PM

he hasnt done it his whole career, as seen in comments 113, 101, and 90.
apparently you havent paid attention to his entire career.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:22 PM
when did i say that?
yes.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:23 PM
I repeatedly said he was a different QB last year than in Atlanta, MEANING, he was obviously not a quality quarterback with the Falcons. Last year he was. If you want him to do it more consistently I understand that, but you are selling him real short on his QB play last season.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:27 PM
so, this year, based on his career prior to last year, we should expect Michael Vick to be a run first QB, that’s your point?
July 28th, 2011 at 4:30 PM
If you want him to do it more consistently I understand that,
thats all i was saying.
@ furious- see above.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:33 PM
also, i think media attention does have an impact. if it didn’t randy lerner wouldn’t have invited that browns fan to discuss shit with him personally after writing that letter a few years ago.
remember, it’s a business. no matter how much we like to play fantasy GM where we make the calls in a vacuum, the owners make the ultimate decision. if they don’t want to pay or want this or want that, they get it no matter what the personnel dept says.

that made no sense, zero.
you guys want to go all in on an inconsistent qb with 3/4 of a good year as a passer, go balls deep.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:55 PM
Exactly, which is why me and Darrell are baffled why you would say it.
Vick was fantastic last year. Hold on to hopes that he will fall back into ATL Vick all you want man.
July 28th, 2011 at 4:57 PM
It’s still pointless. What he did last year was play to his full athletic potential in addition to the commitment change he made to the game since his comeback. Talking about the player he was before prison is fruitless in a legit debate because he isn’t the same player from either one of those perspectives. If he was the same player and had the year he had last year, you may have a point. But as is always the case with you, you’re like a guy with no hands. Pointless.
