Rory McIlroy’s Toughest Task In 2011? Getting His Girlfriend Back
At the start of 2011, Rory McIlory and girlfriend Holly Sweeney decided to take a break so Rory could focus on golf. It didn’t take Rory long to change his mind and he then had to grovel to get her back.
I realised pretty quickly I had made a huge mistake, and I had to do a lot of begging and grovelling to get her back. Holly is fantastic. I have known her for six years and for someone my age that is a huge chunk of my life. She keeps my feet on the ground and knows the things to say to me. She has been such a great support. She takes my mind off golf and everything else that is going on.
He sounds kind of whipped, no? The story says they met when they were both teenagers, 6 years ago. I certainly hope it works out for these kids.
